...and Pepperdine grads! :) I think Taj is a student there now. Anyway, I had a class with one of the girls once, and they really are just as animated and as nice as they seem on TV. Everyone liked them.

Funny story: during freshman year, some dormmates and I went to a party at UCLA. One of the girls with us was bombed and saw Danica across the room - and ran up to her, saying in this sweet, drunk, dramatic voice, "It's Winnie Cooper! Hiiiiiiii Winnie Cooper!" and gave her a hug.

The pic was slightly risque but not that big a deal. If Roger Clemens had sex with her it would have been a better story.

Does anyone recall if people thought Katherine Heigl's role in the movie My Father the Hero was too risque for her age? All I remembered was that she did a few covershoots for Seventeen and Teen. I think she was about 14 when she made it. But Katherine never really had that tween star status.

I cannot believe so much is being made about this. MY GOD Miley Cyrus showed some skin and was put in an awkward pose with her dad. OMG. I've seen 15 year-olds around here in way less.

I don't see how she has been victimized as some of you are saying. Take a look at the Vanity Fair video. If you still feel the same, good for you. At least you'll have a better sense of what was going on at that shoot.

Everyone's trying to blame Leibowitz for this, but seriously. Her parents and managers knew the deal. Hot star + Leibowitz=provocative photos.

The photos aren't tasteless but they are unnecessary for a CHILD.

I don't care what 15 year olds are doing in this youtube and myspace ERROR. 15 year olds shouldn't be presented with an image of having a sheet covering them up. Whether there are clothes under the sheet means nothing for the image being depicted.

Everyone's to blame because Vanity Fair AND her camp shouldn't have thought it was cute, creative, sexy, or whatever for us to see a 15 year old in that manner. Her myspace photos are dumb, too, and Miley and her camp need to take a page from Raven Samone's book. That's if people don't get tired of seeing Miley altogether.

Hey...if Brittany Spears did it.....Disney must not have a problem....

Jodie Foster had to go through TONS of psychological testing to make sure taking the role wouldn't freak her out, and a body double (her older sister) was used for all the sex scenes.

There's no way you can compare a masterpiece like Taxi Driver to some pictures in Vanity Fair, myspace, whatever. It's apples and oranges.

Same with Pretty Baby, although I don't think Brooke's mom was as stable as Jodie's so who knows what went down on that set. I have to believe that Susan Sarandon would have kicked the ass of any skeezy dude who tried to mess w/ lil' Brooke though. :)

These are films that have held up and that have stellar performances. I seriously doubt if anyone is going to even remember Miley Cyrus and her teenybopper pop and silly show 3 years from now, let alone 30 years from now.

Her parents & manager wanted to try and get a more grownup image for her, people saw the pics and freaked out, and now they're backpedalling, IMO.
