There's also a Capital University in Columbus. Could that be Capital Punishment?

My school has some pretty good nicknames that are also true.

Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas. (SFA):
SFA- Sex, Fun, and Alcohol
SFA- School for Alcoholics
SFA- Single, Fine, and Avaliable

And since SFA is a party school, the nicknames are certaintly true.

Delta Zeta for life.

There's a historically african-american college in my hometown called Lincoln University, but we all called it UCLA (University on the Corner of Laffette Ave.)

Oh, I just thougt of another one. Southwest Missouri State, SMS, is also known as SMSTD. It's pretty true from what I've heard.

That does sound like fun! I'll mention it to some sisters and we'll try to find a time to come over!

Georgia Tech - North Avenue Trade School

Univ of Georgia - ((Darn, my mind just went blank!!))
...You can't spell Sugar without UGA!! ((As in Sugar Bowl))

When I lived in Houston, I did learn some Texas Aggie jokes...

UNC=University of No Credit.

Then for the downtown Denver branch of the University of Colorado...

UCLA=University of Colorado between Lawrence and Arapahoe (streets)

I go to the The University of Texas @ San Antonio and we are sometimes referred to as The University of Texas South of Austin, because all the students at UTSA eventually want to make it to UT, but none ever do!

DukeBlue 01-02-2002 04:16 AM

Duke: "Dook", "The University of New Jersey at Durham" (b/c a lot of students here are from NJ/NY)

UNC: "Land Grant U", Tarheels = "Tarhell", "Tarhole"

There's also a joke like,
"How many UNC students does it take to change a lightbulb?"
"Only one, but he gets a lab credit."

Luckily, I have only been at USF for 1 1/2 years...but it seems like some of my sisters have been here forever. I don't think I had ever heard of a 6th year senior before coming here! The community college in my hometown is Brevard Community College, also known as Beer Can College or Brevard ChildCare.

There is a community college in my hometown: FCCJ - Florida Community College Jacksonville. We kind of refer to it as "F**KED JA".

Also,
UNF - U'll Never Finish
USF - U Seldom Finish

I love this topic...

I go to Clarion University of PA

aka Crappy University, Construction University, CowTown University

or CUP.

I know someone already posted for Indiana Uniersity of PA - IUP
we are big rivals with them so here are our 'fun' names:

I Usually Party

(these two started when an IUP cheerleader had the "P" flag upside down)
DUI
IUD

Also, if IUP and Clarion were to merge... it could be ICUP.

Slippery Rock U of PA
Slimey Pebble
Slippy (Pittsburghese for Slippery) Stone

CCAC - Community College of Allegheny County (has a few campuses)
(pronounced KAK or K-Kak)
If you cant Hack it, Kak it!
Western Monroeville University (Boyce Campus)
Harvard on the Mon (Mon = Monongahela River)
Penn Hills University (cos most of the people from my HS now go there... we used to call Clarion that too!)
13th grade - Go to Boyce Campus and its a flashback to HS!

University of Pittsburgh at Titusville - Pitt at Tit

Those are all I can think of!!
