Yes and that sucks doesn't it? So nittanyalum how do your figures compute?

Kind of poor to say the least?:(

Mac, there is a lot of open space here!

So, is it 10-60 % or 3-5 %?

We can only hope for the upmost best and try to be more attentive to the PNM/Pledges.

You and your members are supposed to be the leaders, these kids do not know s--t but hope to learn.

So, then who is supposed to help them? Maybe you and your fellow members. They should have some idea before they are cut.

My school, by todays standard and practice, had rather unique rush program.
That said, from what I can recall, when we made our decisions on who to offer a bid to it was who we wanted. I can not recall anything close to lets give out 40 bids and include a few that we can cut later.
And if we did cut anyone, was for GPA, money, character, deeds or actions, or some hard issue that we missed during rush. And I say if because I just do not recall having to cut anyone. May have come close once.

33 is nothing to scoff at, but why lose 18 men during the pledge process? Just to find the best of the class and keep them? I'm not asking for specifics or anything, just curious.

No, there are plenty of reasons to boot someone. We go into rush planning on booting at least 5 and trying to get others to quit.

I have to make an addendum to it.

We know that we will make some bad choices during rush. We know we will make at least 5 bad choices (because we're idiots, sometimes). We try to make good choices, but usually around 5 slip through the cracks...even if we signed them before school started.

I'll help them if they deserve it.

I can usually at least catch a thread of what you're trying to say but I don't have a clue what the hell the above is supposed to mean.

How do my figures compute? Wha?

I was just pointing out that PhiGam saying they initiate 60% of their pledges is much different than the example that you gave of the chapter that only initiated 10%.

I'm not sure how that wasn't clear.
