Interesting. I never knew that.

Linn County

How far does the Linn Country record of predictions go back?

Those two are a worse case scenario IMO. Romney is a huge panderer and Obama doesn't have enough experience.

Oh, no, I disagree.

Huckabee or Guiliani vs. Clinton is a much worse case scenario, if you ask me.

Speaking of Paul, did he even participate in the Iowa Caucus? (Can you tell how much I have been avoiding the election coverage?)

Yep, he got 10%. He's polling even better in NH.

Amazing how Ron Paul is not being invited to debates. If he did 10 % in Iowa, that is amazing since I do not beleived he even stumped!

What a mismash of candidates and once again who is the lesser of two evils?

Ron may be a oddity to many, and some of his ideas are from outer space, he does make sense in many!

But if by chance he would get elected, how far with the local legislatures let him get. They do not want to lose their perks and pork belly projects or what ever PC thing they call it now, it is still the same! Screw the public!

Is he not being invited? Or is that just what he's claiming? Earlier this year there was a Democratic debate held at the TV station where my sister works, where all candidates were invited. One of the Democratic candidates didn't respond to the invitation to the event (which was being hosted by the AARP I think) and then his camp tried to state on his site/blog that he hadn't been invited. Pretty hard to make that claim if one party can produce a copy of an invitation that was sent to you.

He placed fifth with that 10%. NH will decide if McCain and Guliani are still in the game, but from Paul on down are out. However, he seems to be running on a "I get an automatic audience for my views" kick, so whatever works for him.

I'm rather sick of the whole "experience" thing. Obama's got legislative and legal experience but no foreign or governing experience. That puts him on even ground with those people who only have governing experience or even governing and legal experience. And really part of his appeal is that he hasn't been playing this game for years.

Oh no, he won't know where the bathrooms are in the White House! Vote Hillary!

/it's a slow day

Paul was excluded from the Fox "round table" debate that they're doing before NH. He was invited to the ABC debate. I suspect Fox wanted 4 people, not 5 and that, unlike conspiracy theorists it's due to wanting the most likely candidates along with a reasonable number of people around a table. The ABC debate is a "normal" one with podiums and the like and they're taking the top 5 candidates from each party.

Or you know, the "main-stream media" is keeping Paul down. Wait it's Fox... it must be Paul's views on the Iraq war, yeah that's it. I've not seen so much "omg conspiracy" from a candidate's supporters before.

The ABC debate is non-traditional, from what I understand. Unstructured debate amongst each other for the first 45 minutes (with no time limit for candidates), while they sit at a table, then a traditional debate format for the second half. It should be interesting to see who dominates the conversation.

Them too huh? Interesting.

I'll see if I can bring myself to sit down and watch.

Whatever happened to the days of three Presidential and one Vice Presidential debate after the conventions.

I'm tired of this campaign already.

It became old about a year ago. Now, it's all about the laughs. Too bad that the joke will be on all of us.
