I'm in that group, too. I also have a shirt that says "Your retarded". I laugh to myself when people are like "OMG that's soooo funny, your shirt says I'm retarded." That's not the joke dumbass.

I think the problem also is that we create and send messages too quickly in cyberspace. Many of us have the mentality (especially the younger generations) that spelling and grammar don't matter because no one knows us personally but I think that we should take pride in everything that we do. Maybe it's because I'm an editor but I scan every message and email before I hit "send." This is just a habit with me although I am not saying that I don't make mistakes because everyone does, but I take pride in everything that I write.

i scan too but my bad habit is that i hardly ever use capitalization. it annoys some people but i personally don't find it to be a big deal in casual settings like personal e-mails and forums. what is everyone's opinion on capitalizing? does it irk you?
