It's not secret, obviously! Just that we don't let snarkers in for a reason - snark-free zone! Just like people can have people banned from GC, not everyone is welcome at GF. Pretty simple. Again, why two groups exist in the first place. And trust me, the site is growing everyday - obviously there was a need :D

See this is where you've blown the benefit of the doubt with me. I don't think "people who get their entertainment by putting others down" is what's going on here -- it's not what was going on in the threads involving you. I do wonder, though, if you don't get your entertainment from creating drama. That's how it starting to look. I guess saying that makes me snarky, but whatever.

As for HRPL, yeah it's fine for there to be 2 sites -- whatever makes people happy. I'm all for the free market. I've been there from time to time, but so far I've had no desire to sign up. What I've seen has been way too quiet and white bread for my taste. But hey, lots of people like white bread, or they wouldn't keep making it.

I don't create drama, drama finds me. You can ask any of my IRL friends. I think your point about the white bread was a good one, only in that many people like it and that's why they keep making it. But I wouldn't classify HPRL as white bread if by that you mean, boring or bland. There are some great discussions going on there right now in fact, that don't exist anywhere on GC. And I disagree with you on two points: I didn't think your comment was snarky. Telling me "Bitch, be quiet" is snarky. Second, there are indeed many people putting others down all over GC and if you don't see it, than you're oblivious to what's really going on here. Unfortunately, the admin doesn't care because it creates more posts and more use of the site. But it also will ultimately homogenize GC - it will only be snarkers, as the people that lose their taste for GC will find their way to Greek Friends.

Totally not trying to speak for imsohappythatiama, but I'm pretty sure if she thought she needed therapy, she would have gotten it. And maybe she has - not everyone has to post the most intimate details of their personal lives on an internet message board.

IMO, entertainment shouldn't come at the expense of others, and I'm pretty sure most orgs would not condone some of that sort of activity that goes on on GC. Who here can say they genuinely live by their org's motto on GC? Not many, that's for usre... As for my comment about drama - you don't know me IRL so you really have no room for comment there. I have made some innocent comments that people took too seriously and then the whole thread got blown way out of proprortion, as often happens on GC - that is what I mean by drama finding me (online anyway).

Good point - but I would hope anyone I knew IRL on here would say so. My friends, at least, are people of integrity. I notice you're from DC - do YOU know me? ;) I mean, seriously, was that supposed to be a threat?

You know, one thing I learned the hard way when I was a GC newbie was never to accuse a member of another org of not living by their mottos, creeds or whatever. I can call my own brothers to account for that (privately, of course) but not someone who is a member of a different org. It's a lesson I learned and a rule I stick by.

But I'm about to break the rule, or at least to offer you a mirror.

I have a great deal of respect for ZTA, for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately, much of what you've posted -- including sweeping generalizations that "not many" people can say "they genuinely live by their org's mottos on GC" -- does not seem to match the very admirable motto you've placed in your sig.
