"I'm Chuck Bass." was the highlight of the episode, IMO. I just could not stop laughing!

I still laugh about "I'm Chuck Bass."

I've ready most of the books, and I started getting disappointed that they've veered so far off from the books. I don't mind them changing and making things different, but I just wish they would keep true to some of the big events/situations that happens in the books.

BTW, why does Vanessa have hair? In the books, she's bald and a very serious film maker!

This is probably one of the only shows I'm glad that it doesn't stick to the books. Big fan of the show the way it is.

I almost prefer that they don't stay with the books because I feel like the show would be too predictable. They're kindof letting the story unfold on its own rather than following the books too closely. It would be nice, though, to keep some of the big happenings from the books in there.

Plus, Chuck Bass is much better as a conniving a-hole (like in the first couple books) than he is as a gay nutjob with a monkey.

I think the reason Vanessa isn't bald is because it's a teen drama and the kids wouldn't understand the social significance of hipster Vanessa with no hair. They'd probably just think she's ugly.

"Bow Down or Bow Out" OMG I love it!

****SPOILER****

I read on some website, probably EW, that they've hired actors to play Cyrus and Aaron Rose, so for those of you who want more book/show continuity, there you go! I'm excited for Serena/Aaron.

Yes, but Cyrus is being played by Wallace Shawn. I find that very awkward, he just doesn't seem like a Gossip Girl member, he is talented and funny. I hope this is just a rumor and not true.

They've been doing filming around the city for a few days now & I'm REALLY tempted to stop on by after work. On Location is my new fav website!

If they go by the books, Cyrus is supposed to be awkward and annoying, so I think this could fit.

I am loving the fight for Queen. This is the Serena that I have been waiting to see!

As soon as I heard that he was cast, I knew he was totally going to be Cyrus Rose.

I'm glad that the show isn't following the books totally, because in the books, Rufus was GROSS. Now he's hot. :)

Rufus is SMOKIN' HOT in the show!

For those who have read the books, which couples end up together at the end of the series? I know Dan and Serena is basically a one-off in the books...

DreamfulSpirit 09-25-2008 11:40 AM

In the books, Dan and Serena didn't nearly last as long as they have in the show.

The big relationship is Blair and Nate, and it wasn't until really far into the books that Blair finally lost her virginity to Nate.
