So who all is represented in your family? Pi Phi, Phi Mu, and ZTA, but is that all? Or is there more?

ClassicBeauty 08-12-2007 03:12 PM

congrats!

so were you dropping a hint with the flower codenames lol?

SoCalGirl 08-12-2007 03:18 PM

Can we get an updated Carnation Nation tally? I know there's Pi Phi, AOII, Chi O, ZTA and now Phi Mu. Is that all for now? When's the next daughter going through??? :D

Can you imagine Carnation wearing all of those mother's pins? :D Congrats to your daughter, and all the other girls!

And I wonder what the back window of her SUV (with all those kids she prob. has a big car) looks like with all the decals on it. The neat thing is, each girls' wedding will have a different color theme (maybe) if they incorporate their colors as part of the theme.
Congrats Carnation. You survived another one. You are my hero. If I had to do it over again I'd need to be hooked up to an IV full of Xanax just to survive the week of stress.

PhiMuLady150 08-12-2007 03:38 PM

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELCOME HOME GIRLS!!!!!!!!!

I am just imagining the next Carnation daughter at rush (if there is another one after Sweet Tea) when someone is asking her, "Are you a legacy? or is anyone in your family Greek?" and she answers "Yes, my mother was a Pi Phi, My sisters are AOTT, Chi Omega, ZTA, and Phi Mu". I would pay money to see the look on the person's face that asked her the question! :p

Hmmm..... I wonder if there is an entry in the Guiness World Book of Records for most Greek Organizations in one family....

Congratulations Carnation and Sweet Tea!

Congratulations Carnation and Sweet Tea!

Yep, there are at least 3 more daughters but the oldest is 13...I get a break from sorority recruitment although the 2 oldest boys are in high school.:D

The tally, not including cousins and aunts and others out of the immediate family:

Pi Phi-- one mom!
AOII-2 daughters!
Chi O-2 daughters!
ZTA-1 daughter!
Phi Mu-1 daughter!

No hint intended with the flower code names--I thought about the Southern rush theme, looked out the window, saw our huge crapemyrtle, and the idea was born.

Sweet Tea is overcome with happiness. She called after the Bid Day party and was chattering away ninety to nothing--"I have a bid day buddy! They gave me a pink Bid Day shirt! I want to redo my room in pink! We're going to the movies tonight and we have our first meeting next Sunday!"

Her dad and I are so happily tired after the tense week; she only knew one Greek woman at her university. When I told him about Phi Mu, he said,"We'll be flooded in pink!" and I was astounded that he had remembered that from years of rushes. Then he left to go call his preppy Ole Miss Phi Mu cousin!
