This thread is taking me back...

I remember have the Bionic Woman playset which included Jamie Summers and some type of tech/command center that had wires that would connect her bionic parts to it. I also had the Farrah Fawcett styling head doll. It came with make up and hair dye.

I remember making a Chinese rope out of rubberbands and you needed at least three people to play (because there was only two of us, a chair would sometimes suffice). I remember when a simple "wire" clothesline was all we needed and we would jump rope (double dutch) from sun up to sun down. I don't remember stopping to eat lunch or anything else.

Things I never got:
  1. I always wanted pom poms on my roller skates.
  2. I always wanted a basket on the front of my bike and streamers on the handle bars.
  3. I never got those Wonder Woman Under Roos (still remind my mother about that one and I think I need therapy to work out my issues).
Question: Did anyone collect soda can tabs and if so, why?

Oh yes!! I've always loved my video games. I had the Atari 2600. I also had Donkey Kong and Q-Bert. I had the following games too: Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Pitfall, Centipede, Millipede, Pole Position, and the list would keep going. I had over 50 games.

Ms. Pac-Man was the hood game of the century! We took that game seriously!

80's Baby

I loved my:

1:My original Nintendo (still remember the night my dad brought it home and set it up)
2:Black Cabage patch doll (original 1984 version w/ the nappy hair . . I got as a baby & still have it)
3: Skip it (elementary school)

But what I always (and still am bitter) about was the fact that at 4 or 5 I was too tall for the electronic Barbie convertable / jeep . . .the 1 that had the battery, gas pedal, and steering wheel to drive. I loooooved that toy and I wanted 1 sooo bad :(. No matter how hard my mom tried to explain that my "legs were just to long to fit" I would whine everytime we passed one in the store . . i still get excited when I see 1 now :D

Most definitely. I currently have Ms. Pac-Man on the SNES. My friends and I were playing it a few weeks ago.

Oh yes. I had that system too. I gave the first model away when I got the 2nd model that came out.

never did get the one i wanted as a child :( but for my daughters first christmas, my parents got her one! i almost cried when i took it out the box, and they had to remind me it was for her and not me.

i have issues that need to be worked out over a barbie house and little tykes kitchen. my best friend had one and hardly touched it. i used to lust over it and always wanted to play with it when i went over but she paid it no mind. to this day, i still want that kitchen...

To make a necklace out of, of course!! For awhile, it was cool to see how many you could get on your chain...and colored ones (coke had red ones for awhile) counted extra!!!
