You know, there are other, semi-permanant options, she wouldn't have to get a full tubal. There's Mirena*, which is a plastic IUD about the size of a quarter which is good for 5 years of birth control. There's the implants (not very safe)...and there's the shot...anything...

*Mirena has a website, but when I went to look it up, the stupid "Sonic Wall" my boss put on said "Forbidden Website: Sex Education":rolleyes:

the Duggars are an example of how to do it right. true, they are a bit different from most families, but you never get the idea that any of those children are neglected in any way. they look clean, fed, and happy, and to me that is what matters the most. oh, and their good behavior doesnt hurt either!

imo, it is irresponsible to bring children into the world and not be able to take care of the ones you already have. i understand that condoms break, the pill isnt 100%, but you have to at least TRY SOMETHING to stop it from happening again!

Or, if you are having a child you cannot care for, consider adoption. I have far too many friends who would make wonderful mothers who are infertile.

^^very true. its sad how those who want it the most suffer the most. there's no need for any child to suffer, someone somewhere will take it. even the ones with problems. i saw a show about a family that had adopted around 14 kids and all of them were special needs children. those children were the happiest ones i think i ever saw...

As an adoptive mom to a beautiful 4-year old son, I heartily agree with you!

Personal responsibility does not mean that you take freedom away from people. It's only personal responsibility if someone is actively taking responsibility for their actions. Not if someone else/the State takes it.

Eeew, this woman is a big ol' parasite.
