Moving on.

Look at post #35.
Which one of my books would you care to read next: Patterson, Cohen, Brown,Clussler,Coyle, Demille, Bell....;):D
And if there was some sort of mis-communication, all is well.;)

I still have no idea what you're talking about.

Good grief, jon1856 ;)

She responded to YOU because YOU posted the article link. The article link had a photo of Chase Bolding. How could you possibly confuse that? LOL.

Not how I first read it. But whatever-things like this happen when you can not see whom you are talking to.;)
News wrap-ups:
http://www.uwire.com/Article.aspx?id=789412

"The fraternity signed an agreement with UT officials on April 7 restructuring SAE's pledge process. Escamilla said his office could also press charges against the fraternity but has decided to wait to see if the agreement will hold.

"You can't send [the entire chapter] to jail, obviously, but you can fine them money," he said. "This organization has the financial resources; they could have paid a fine. I'm more interested in seeing their behavior change."

http://www.kxan.com/Global/story.asp?S=8240809
"Police ultimately ruled Cross' death was an accident. Cross' family, however, was pleased with the actions in court that addressed the fraternity hazing, Escamilla said.
Escamilla said he would wait to charge any additional members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He will be watching, closely, if they follow a strict agreement from the University of Texas to reduce hazing at that fraternity."

Yes I do.
And that is exactly how I read your post.

RIF, dude. I believe what breathesgelatin was trying to say was "Gosh golly, that Chase is a handsome fellow. Too bad he hazes people."

I think the "issue" has been worked out.
Thanks.

Agreed.

And I know a LOT of people with CPAs, law degrees and various clearances with regulatory agencies to work as high ranking officers in stock brokerages who had a college misstep or two on their record- but it never hindered their careers.

Misdemeanors like these really don't matter to one's long term prospects- which is as it should be.

Kevin 05-07-2008 03:34 PM

fixed.

Now.. as far as our smaller chapters being "shit," I'm going to have to differ with you a little bit there. What is "shit" and what is not is purely subjective.

Classy post, btw. Is this typical for the self-proclaimed "elite"?
I am good friends with one of Cross's pledge brothers who was with him all that night. A lot of this stuff is very exaggerated.

Many people on these boards go to shit schools and are in shit chapters, where pledgeship is basically SigEps Balanced Man program. I am not trying to belittle anyone, but their is a difference in the process of joining an absolute top-tier in the country organization and your run of the mill organization. If you are willing to go through ritualistic hazing and traditions, then the organization must mean something to you, and you have a desire to be in it. I know Ive been through some fucked up stuff that would even minimized the SAEs hazing, but it was worth it to be in my organization. When you are joining an organization that includes Bush's, billionaire's sons, old oil elite and sons of prominent congressmen and senators, you aren't just going to be let in. Its just part of the exclusiveness.

I think many of ya ll on this thread need pipe down on your opinions on something you actually know nothing about. Its not your chapter, you really don't know any of the real details, and never will.

Also, Mac, Cookin' For Kids was a good time. Bacon-wrapped shrimp always make my day. And yalls coolest pledgeship story has got to be the Pea-cocks, good shit.

You may wish to review your own post and take your own advise.
For at least two reasons:
You are not an SAE.
You are under investigation yourself.
And spell check could be one of your best friends.

Well, your post certainly reads like it could have been written by one of the "Bush's."

When I saw that part, all I could think was that if I was his lawyer, I'd strangle him for coming somewhere like a public message board and posting.

The "elite" have no use for spell check.
