LOL! My mom has that Jingle Cats cd.........each time she played it, my cat and my sister's cat would go crazy along with the dogs thinking there were real cats making that noise somewhere. |
I can't stand any of them. Try working retail. It spoils any enjoyment you had before in holiday music.

I hate the christmas carol that is a knock off of grandma got ran over by a reindeer, its the one about the KKK and black people. That song is aweful!!! One of my little cousins started singing it to me a few years back. I asked my uncle what in the hell has he been teaching Dean (my cousin).

This will be my third Christmas of working retail. Luckily, now I work at the Limited so our holiday tape is a blend of some Christmas music, some regular music. However, my last mall job was at Boston Store (same as Bergner's/Carson Pirie Scott). We had a really obnoxious Christmas tape that only had about 2 hours worth of music on it. My very least favorite song was "Same Old Lang Syne." That's not going to make any sense to most of you, so here's some of the lyrics:
Met my old lover in the grocery store The snow was falling Christmas eve I stole behind her in the frozen foods And I touched her on the sleeve She didn't recognize the face at first But then her eyes flew open wide She went to hug me and she spilled her purse And we laughed until we cried We took her groceries to the checkout stand The food was totaled up and bagged We stood there lost in our embarrassment As the conversation dragged We went to have ourselves a drink or two But couldn't find an open bar We bought a six-pack at the liquor store And we drank it in her car We drank a toast to innocence, we drank a toast to now And tried to reach beyond the emptiness but neither one knew how It is the most depressing song ever! My senior year I was having a really happy Christmas - had gotten into all my colleges with scholarships, had a boyfriend, family stuff was good - every time they plaid this song at work I just started to tear up. IT's so catchy too...BLAH. I actually like pretty much all other Christmas music, carols or cheesy. I'll play it all through out the year - I've been playing it non-stop since we put up our tree at work. It makes me happy. |
What? No one mentioned "Dominic the Christmas Donkey"? WORST CHRISTMAS SONG EVER!!!
"...Hee haw, hee haw, it's Dominic the Donkey..." It makes me want to stab myself in the eye with a candy cane!!! |
I dislike all Chritmas songs/carols...when they are played in November.
edited for spelling |
I'm adding one more to my list "The most wonderful time of the year"
I hate it because they play it every August when it's back to school season in the Staples or Office Depot commercial........... That is not the most wonderful time of the year.....friends YES! tests, papers, boring lectures, business plans, projects, advising, tuition and book fees........NO! |
