This will vary by chapter, area, or the individuals. There are BGLO members who are known by their line names or nicknames and people have no idea what their real names are.

I honestly couldn't tell you the real names of almost anyone in my husband's (IFC) undergrad chapter. No one ever uses anything but their pledge names. I think even some of the guys' families call them by their pledge names at this point ...

haha...now I remember. I love South Park but that is something that even a South Park fan can forget about.

Now...since nicknames and line names should have meaning, what is the meaning as it relates to your organization? Is it because of the panda?

Get off the Neos!

Aight, since no is speaking up for da Neos, with all these Prophytes in da place! Where would the Greek World without us Neos to keep it going! I have been known to double nalia up every now and then, but it's just out of pure love and pride for the frat! I'm sure I will settle down one day, but maybe not...I have been a Mason for years and still probably have the biggest nalia collection around! And it's not a southern thang, because even though I live in the south, I am born in raised in our Nations Kapitol. Get off the Neos! LOL!:)

Senusret I 06-12-2008 01:21 PM

^^^ What high school did you go to?

NephewNupe 06-12-2008 01:28 PM

A proud graduate of Theodore Roosevelt H.S., Go RoughRiders!!

You know you're a neo when you spend a lot of energy dissing other organizations other than yours!:p

You know you are a Neo when you find yourself constantly looking at nalia websites for the latest and greatest to add to your collection so youn can stay lettered up at all times. :D

DSTCHAOS 06-13-2008 02:45 PM

Unfortunately, there are nonNeos who spend a lot of time dissing. We call these people "Kappas."

jes kiddin...I have seen old-as-heck members who wear dumb shirts and verbally diss, though. Annoying.

NephewNupe 06-13-2008 03:39 PM

Oh come'on, that was a little hate right there. You don't diss when you just naturally know you are the Kream of the Krop, lol. That's just Kocky Konfidence! And I have gotten waaaay more hate from my partners that are in other frats, I won't say their names (Alphas and Ques, lol) since I became a Nupe, and I never hear any of my brothers dissin' their frats...well, other than Sigma. But I got a lot of respect for Sigma too, because I grew up in DC, 5 mins from their National HQ and they did a LOT in my community.
