Why don't they just call them selves a dancing club? Where in the 230 years since Phi Beta Kappa started, did we start making fraternities into dancing clubs? Am I just being completely ignorant and this is more usual then not? I mean if they're making a movie about it? Really?

Edit*** Are they at least spirited, like, dance at halftime shows? or they just jump around being goofy for the hell of it? - This movie looks horrible. Almost as bad as the "scary" movies that they've been coming out with weekly.

Agreed.

This is hardly the picture our founding fathers would have foreseen.
Very dissapointing.

How is he being ignorant? Should he be an expert on the practices of black fraternities?

So now we shall debate on who is being ignorant. Sounds boring.

Maybe not but his post was dumb. If he didn't know about the topic, his post should've consisted of "what's this about" instead of whatever tangent he was on.

I think we should drop it. After all, we're talking about stepping. Not the game, not the game I go out there and play, we're talking about stepping. Stepping man, stepping.

Good idea. This thread was never meant to be informative. It was intended to poke fun at something that most of the people posting have no idea about. I'm surprised that the moderators have kept it alive this long. There are much more interesting threads that have gotten shut down for less.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/ignorant

he lacks knowledge on the practices, purposes and histories of BGLO's. so using the dictionary definition of ignorant, yes he is ignorant.

the irony

Well, the person calling him ignorant is also one who says that insensitivity is included in that definition, if I recall correctly. We probably need to establish some cultural/racial dispute dictionary so people will be on the same page.

I believe the tangent he was on (unless I am mistaken) was that the fraternities portrayed in this movie are a bastardization of the original fraternity in every form. If one was to provide any defense of greek life, they would state this as well.

Or you just need to stop using so much starch on your collar.
