What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. This makes sense I am from Indiana but I picked up some southern talk from my Daddy who is from Dallas. |
Okay, I have an accent that's considered West. I am from Miss'sappi. Ya'll know I can get real country. I think my speech is due to the fact I teach school, however, don't catch me on my off times...

Mixed up Military Accent
This is so funny because I've lived in Arkansas, North Carolina, & California, so I have such a mixed up accent. I am told that I sound proper one minute:rolleyes: , like a mexican Cali girl the next minute (granted all of my friends were mexican so I picked up that style of speech:D ), then country the next minute all with in one sentence;) . Due to moving so much I can pick up accents very easily. I just think it all makes me special :)

First of all, Y did I feel really dumb taking this test . . . :( I was pronouncing words and sounds over and over again .. . kinda like when a child is learning to read.
Anyway . . the test says I have a Philly accent  . . .Funny enough though I'm from CT originally, and have never been to Philly . . ever  . . Although I must say that people have asked me, especially when I was in H.S, where I was from because they though I had an accent. Some thought I was from NY. While the New Yorkers I've met since I've moved here definately know I'm not from around here from the way I speak. I was told "Ur definately NOT a burough chick" whatever that means. I always chalked it up to my Northeast mixing with the West Indian in me . . oh well I 'm confused |
Boston! Totally wrong! Yuck!
I can't stand Boston accents. I normally have the "newscaster" accent, but if I'm in ny for a while I start to pick that up. |
I have a Southern Accent! And they are right, I'll deny it. I didnt think I had an accent at all. lol

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Northeast Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak. They hit the nail on the head! Straight outta Brooklyn! :D |
OK, how bout I really did not want to have a southern accent! LOL!
Your Result: The South That's a Southern accent you've got there. You may love it, you may hate it, you may swear you don't have it, but whatever the case, we can hear it. |
I attrack Yuppies!
Your Result: You attract Yuppies!
You attract the very well-dressed, job oriented type of people. They usually have their finances together, are 'middle of the road' on most topics, generally happy with the 'main-stream' of things. If it is stability you are after, these are good people to attract, if you seek adventure, it may be time for an overhaul WHATEVER!!! |
