I voted at 7:20 AM and was number 36. I did not have to show any kind of ID nor did I received a sticker.

IIRC from Middle School (?), there is a law that states that one is allowed 30 minutes for voting.

I voted no on all 3, too. I've heard all kinds of horror stories about the phone calls telling people they'll be charged to vote and precints running out of ballots. My new polling place only had 1 electronic machine. My old precint had all electronic.

It's a pop up window, but I thought it was cool to see how the country was voting! I got in to vote just minutes before the polls closed. Whew!

In Connecticut, you have to show ID to vote. Most people use their driver's licenses. Most people have driver's licenses, as you pretty much need a car to get anywhere around here. People who don't drive usually have non-driver ID cards if they don't have passports.

The poll workers got very confused with my ID, because I moved within CT last year, and when you move within the state, the DMV just gives you a sticker to put on the back of your license - so the front of my license still shows my old address. But I explained it to them, and I was allowed to vote.

I didn't get a sticker either. :( I wound up voting after work, so I guess they ran out of stickers.

cnn.com has pretty good election coverage. There's a form where you can enter your zip code and it will list your district's results for Congress, Senate (if applicable), and governor (if applicable).

Lieberman is being projected as the winner of the CT Senate race. Lamont's still very close, though... I guess they're using mainly exit poll data. I hope we don't have to deal with a recount.

Polls close in about 1 hour.

I just got home from sign waving and I am sunburned.

Soon I'll be off to Senator Akaka's HQ then to my HS classmate's party...she's running a tight State House race and if she wins, she'll be the youngest ever in office.

It's gonna be a long night.

In PA you only have to show ID if you're voting in a precinct for the first time (i.e. after you move).

My precinct had 9 lovely new voting machines. However, there were only 2 or 3 being used at any given time because the people explaining them were soooo slow. The lady giving me the directions (though they're right there on the screen) kept on forgetting what she was saying b/c she was looking trying to see who the guy next to me was voting for. Lovely. Thanks, lady, I had to wait in line for 20-25 minutes because you're so busy being a nebshit.

Looks like Michigan is keeping it's Governor and US Senator. And, the state has voted to ban affirmative action, to ban the hunting of mourning doves...

God, I love living in a red state =)

Affirmative Action ban..is it final?

You can take your voter's registration card OR your driver's license...but you have to show your legal name (no Mindy Smith if your name is Melinda Smith) and it has to have the right address. My husband almost didn't get to vote b/c we moved and he didn't update the address on his voter's registration, but did on his license...and then he couldn't find his card. But, since we moved w/in 30 days, he was able to show up to the polling place and explain the situation.

Mark Sanford is close friends w/ my atty at work. He called our office yesterday afternoon to verify he'd be in town to vote and to see if my atty wanted to go vote w/ him this morning. I was teasing him all day after seeing this on CNN.

After watching that CNN video, I can't help but feel sorry for him and that precinct official who turned him away.

I mean, I know rules are rules and such, but hi? The Governor? You know how he looks like and the official still turned him away?

While the person I wanted to win for senator didn't (which is a shame, because he would have been wonderful), at least our Democratic governor won another term. So atleast there's some BLUE here!

And in GA, where I am still a resident and vote by absentee, once again, my vote didn't make a difference :( But I still voted!
