Most Asian Greeks have hand signs as well.

here's a link to a previous thread regarding handsigns
i love seeing how a lot of the handsigns are the same, but slightly different - obviously they will have different meanings to each org. |
Hand signs started with gangs.

on our campus a lot of the organizations do handsigns. most people just blow it off, and don't really get it. i know ours has a lot of meaning to us, and most people don't know what it means. most of the other greeks on our campus have the same things. the handsigns are not necesarilly our letters, but they are just something that has to do with the org.

I think it has to do with the building of tradition instead of resting upon it. |

(Off-topic, but how do you folks get the Greek letters into your signatures. I don't see a greek font in the signature drop-down????) |

We should speak out against sports teams because dressing alike and doing things in groups that can end up in violence is NOW associated with gangs, too. |

We don't have an official hand sign but I've seen a few chapters do this, and mine does as well. You make an L shape with your thumb and index finger of both hands and tilt them towards eachother until your index fingers are crossing. This forms the letters chi and omega.
