See, and there's the thing. Inappropriate as though the white trash comment was no matter who really said it, just because she's Toby Keith's Daughter (ooooh!) should not give her automatic entry into every sorority. I don't know the girl, but if, in fact, she was rude, then of course she would've been cut. It's the same as with any other PNM. Who knows, she may have acted in a way that prompted whoever it was to make such a remark.

that's surprising... you'd think that some houses would be like OMG we have a celebrity's daughter... thats why up here in the north some of the girls will put things like "i was my small town from nowhere's beauty queen"... which is funny coz in the north, no one cares...

and you'd hope celebrities would teach thier kids manners but it seems like now money definetely does NOT equal class.

Agreed. Which to me signals something not-so-right about the daughter herself, b/c it would normally be a bragging right to have a celebrity's daughter in your chapter.

Does anyone have a picture of Toby Keith's daughter? I'm kinda curious as to what she looks like.

From all of the girls I know in good sororities at OU........Toby Keith's daughter apparently had a pretty bad reputation.

She probably just had a swelled head thinking that she should get preferential treatment because she's a celebrity's child. A friend of mine went to kindergarten with Jessica Schumer (the NY Senator's daughter). At the time her father was the comptroller and she would go around telling people "if you're not nice to me, then my daddy will have you deported to Mexico." Bratty for a five year old, but friends who went to HS with her and know her now say that not much has changed at all.

Sadly, to many celebraties children are like that :( but when you've got everything you want, and more, since you were born, can you blame them? If anything, blame the parents who teach the children that they can have whatever they want.

I blame the parents when the child is 4 or 5 and is screaming his head off in a restaurant or acting up/being rude. By the time that child is 18, s/he has been exposed to people other than her/his permissive parents and should know what is acceptable behavior from school, peers and even TV. By high school, they know they are little sh*ts and it is up to them to change that behavior or continue to be smug and snooty until something knocks them down a peg.

You have a very good point. It's to bad that they don't change though and always remain that 4/5 year old in a gorwn ups body.

I agree! The last few years of Hollywood/Trust Fund Celebutantes are living proof!

Those grown children should be blamed. It's their personal decision to treat others rudely. There are plenty of people who grew up with nothing and are respectful of everyone they meet. Everyone has choices.

Ronnie Dunn's (from Brooks and Dunn) daughter went through recruitment at MTSU a few years ago and everyone wanted her because of who she was. She wasn't the nicest girl in the world (or the worst, by any means), but I think everyone was scrambling over her so they could say, "We got the celebrity's kid".

Ocalagirl 09-13-2006 06:26 PM

so she got in somewhere? Is she still there? huh well if she's still there maybe she's not that bad...sorry i try to see the best in everyone:)
