You can't be naive to think that doesn't happen in almost every arena...thus the validity of my response!

I asked that because the purpose of my post wasn't to find out if anybody thought I should, I am my own man. I wanted to know whether or not I should go to the break-off session which would expose my interest in the fraternity. And the responses I got were telling me to do something (go ask the people in that chapter) that would result in exposing my interest. I figured someone who wasn't part of the D9 would not understand the reason for not wanting to put myself out there...hence why the question was asked.

That's exactly what I said....I told him he won't know if his GPA matters or not until they meet him.

You are 100% correct...if someone isn't a D-9 member, they probably wouldn't know if "exposing your interest" as you put it, would be detrimental to future recruitment opportunities.

Dude......they stare at you because they know you're interested. They ignore you because they're not interested in you.

Don't go to the info session. Take time to get your grades up and work on your personal development. Get to know the members well before you "expose" interest. Right now, you're shook. You wouldn't be shook if you knew the bros. (At least, not so much.)

Prospects who do community service and are involved in student government are a dime a dozen. Work on that inner thing that has no name....BE a brother to BE a Brother.

And I'm gonna go to the info session regardless, I was asking about the break-off session.
