I don't know if you're still on here, but on our Channel 9 (Windsor CBC), they said NO to duty free liquids.
|
Don't think so on the Duty Free. There was a story about someone shotgunning a bottle of champagne in security so it wouldn't go to waste.
/not sure that that's still not a waste of a nice bottle of champagne |

The shampoo exploding may be a result of temperature/thermal expansion more than anything, or the physical handling of your bags. The temperature decrease is significant over the course of a flight. |
Interesting, good to know. It may have been the temperature then. I was just always taught to carry all of my bottles in my carry on, and anything I did check was in a ziplock bag.

The thing is, it is a knee jerk reaction to a situation. It may be good or bad, depending on who looks at it? I always packed everything to be stowed except basics not any of the things that are mentioned. Before the moroon tried to light a shoe bomb, I was flying out of Orlando with a DJeep Lighter and the Security asked what it was? A lighter, and they could not work it! Dar. Told them it was adult proof via Federal Regulations. Had to take it and show them how the damn thing worked! DA! |
If one is astute enough, you will find that most of these discoveries are by snitches, not good police work.
Hell, not degrading MI-5, CIA, FBI or anyother Federal Enforcement Agencies, they aint that good! It comes from the Local People in the trenches. It is good on TV and only on TV! |
I've found it pretty interesting to see the news footage of cops with automatic weapons walking around US airports.
That's been the case in European airports for years -- but looks decidedly out of place in Boston. |
