I knew this girl who put salt and pepper on Granny Smith apples.

I love salt, I'm going to start putting it on all my fruit to see if it makes it taste better.

There's another type of Munchies that has all of those, except it has Sun Chips instead of Capt. Crunch. I used to call it the "All Star team of snack foods."

Yes, I'm a huge dork.

I put sugar on my strawberries too. Otherwise, I find them too sour.

I always thought the whole putting salt on fruit thing was an Asian thing. I think its weird, but my mom claims that it brings out the sweetness of the fruit (because the salt provides a contrasting taste).

When the strawberries are at their best, they are so sweet that they don't need sugar. But when they're not really in season or they're being shipped from California, they are often tart and need a little sugar. Whipped cream on them does the same thing as sugar but tastes even better! Strawberry shortcake without the cake.. yummm.

I will not be responsible for what happens when you add salt to your Coke. :D

I dated this one guy in high school who had relatives from the south. During one family dinner, mom was serving cantelope, and grandma asked me if I would like some salt with it. I was horrified at the though and I fear I may have been a little rude, but really I was just shocked at the idea. :(

Now, I did have a watermelon-goat cheese-balsamic vinegar salad in Boston a few years ago that was SO good. I've since served goat cheese on watermelon squares at a few parties. People always freak out at first, but then they love it once they try them!
