BIG PLANS FOR 2008! :D |
Baptist, living in Louisiana, so EVERYONE attempts to give up something.
I will be paying more attention to my spirituality and stop fighting my feelings for certain situations. I will also be GIVING back to others much more during this time. I am VERY BLESSED and I want share it with others. |
Yeah I'm giving up pork starting tomorrow, and all I'm going to say is....I can give up pork chops, and I can give up pork sausage and have turkey...but damn it, there is nothing like some good pork bacon...damn I'm missing it already!!
ETA: Change of plans...I'm giving up red meat now instead, and no I didn't change because of the bacon...he he he |
Ok Sorors I'm giving up chocolate. I eat a Twix or Mr. Goodbar everyday.

Giving up fast food. With my crazy schedule, this is the probably one of the greatest sacrifices I can make. I'm counting anything that I have to the potential to drive up to as fast food. I'm also including my Starbucks habit - since there are several I can drive up to and pick up a muffin and a cup of coffee (costs too daggone much anyway)!

Baptist here, but my best friend/Ace's church is doing the Daniel's Fast so I agreed to do it with her for 9 days....the only thing on the list that I didn't agree to give up is caffiene and sugar substitute (for me Splenda)...I drink quite a bit of coffee and I KNOW I will go through withdrawal...but no meat, white flour products or refined sugar....I say nine days because I have major plans for the 16th and I know I'll cheat so I'm just going to stop and possibly start back...I hope to gain some spiritual clarity doing the nest week or so.....

I'm UM... and I'm giving up my addiction to GOSSIP BLOGS -- especially Perez Hilton. It doesn't sound like a big thing, but I can be on them for hours at a time a DAY (I'm embarassed to say). I know this means I'm going to be getting a LOT more accomplished over the next few weeks. :)

I'm Church of Christ and am giving up soda, starting tomorrow. I have half a coke left at home and will polish that off and get back to my soda less life. :) I lost 20 lbs, and I am not sure if it was from the soda elimination or the stress addition. I have the stress under control, more or less, so lets see what the elimination of soda does for me. :)
