What's obvious is that you need to check your hypocrisy at the door. You came in the Pikes cominr to HU thread on some ol' can't we all just get along type isht, now you want to come on a Greek messageboard and talk about the Zetas' president. How is that keeping the peace.

Just like you don't know me and I don't know you, you DON'T know Sistagreek Barbara C. Moore, yet you're nominating her for this award.

Don't dish it, if you can't take it.

You win Boom. You made nasty personal statements about me. You dont know me. The subject of the thread is two steps backward not the keep the peace thread. I spoke what I thought. I think that people will have a hard time seeing the good ZPB has done because of that scandal. I think she has set her organization at least two step back. If the local ZPB were working on a major project humanitarian, i am willing to bet it is as good as shot down because of the presidents actions. ETA I dont have to know the ZPB president to know that her actions has set her organization back. It is a simple statement of fact.

I see that you have a 'grudge' about my statement in the Pike's thread. You will be alright. My point was everyone is entitled to respect. I see that talking to people with a very basic level of respect is not very high on your agenda.

So, again I say, you win.

People may be weary of donating money (or paying dues) just as they were when the Red Cross was accused of not distributing money appropriately. However, this story hasn't made waves nationally quite yet.

As far as overshadowing the good ZPB has done, only smallminded people allow the mistakes of humanity to overthrow decades of success and service. To the best of their ability, I think it will be business as usual for local chapters of Zeta despite what's going on at IHQ. Our organizations have become much bigger than the people in them.

Girl, get outta here with that defeated mentality. This is not about winning or losing.

This is about you throwing rocks in a glass house, and being a hypocrit in the process.

I don't have to know you to know what it means to be an Omega sidekick. The very premise of your organization, if you can call such disorganization such, is being subservient.

I dont believe the works done by ZPB will be overthrown, but there will be a shadow that will stall current projects.

Only if people insist on letting communities suffer.

Zeta Phi Beta has been a stellar organization for 86 years. The allegations, investigation, misuse of sorority funds was done by one member (that we know of). Her misuse of funds does not make Zeta Phi Beta any less of a stellar organization. If you want to be truthful, the actions/silence of the Zetas on GC are commendable and represent the ideals of their organzation.

What was revealed this week could have happened and has happened to many other organizations in the past, the present, and the future. There are dishonest, unscrupulous people everywhere, in all organizations, churches, schools, etc.

I know that this incident will only cause the members of Zeta Phi Beta to bind together and recommit themselves to the mission of their sorority.

Throwing rocks in a glass house? Ima really need you to explain that one. To me, this is apples and oranges. One hand, you have intelligent people having a discussion about race where people disrespecting one another to where it is ugly, ignorant and unproductive. The other hand is a discussion about someone setting back their organization because of their actions. I don't see a relation.

:D Uh.....you really are reaching. I'll play. I will say this.
"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a (wo)man, I put away childish things." Being an Omega "sidekick" as you put it, is what I did in my unenlightened days. Knowing what I know now I would not do it again. However, under no circumstance would I trade my experience for anything. If someonewere to tell me that they want to become a fraternity sweetheart, I would discourage them because one day they will be on a message board and someone will try to attack their character even though it may be 10 years after the fact.

Absolutely.

It is a statement of fact. I didnt say she was a slimeball. I didnt say she's going to hell. I dont know what she went through for her to arrive at that point. But I do know that whatever may have happened will affect her org.

I'll say this much. You get points for realizing that isht is lame.

Find the other sidekicks, and spread the word. Each one teach one.

You're cool with me in general but in that PIKA thread you did come in there and say that EVERYONE was acting like an uneducated idiot. LOL. We could've really done without that if you were trying to enlighten and add a sense of closure to that thread.

As far as this topic is concerned, you expressed your opinion that this Zeta incident fits the thread topic. The rest of us disagree with you on that and part of that has to do with the potentially inflammatory nature of your comment. Just like your comment that EVERYONE was acting like an uneducated idiot in that other thread. There's a thread in the Greek Life forum that has taken a noninflammatory approach to the Zeta IHQ incident. I think you should leave it at that.

It was a statement of opinion. This entire thread is about opinion, hence the title "The 2 Steps Back Award Goes To."

No one said this will not have some impact on Zeta. The extent of the impact (beyond criminal allegations for some national officers) is something we can not possibly know.
