Do we have anyone here from Jamaica?
From what I understand, the culture as a whole is HIGHLY intolerant of homosexuals. If a man "comes out" and admits to being gay, isn't he essentially putting his life in jeopardy and bringing shame on his family? Or is this all hyperbole? Terri's facial expressions were hilarious. I would invite her out for a mojito. :D |

I'm not saying he has to be the most masculine man but hell, everytime i see those pictures with lip gloss it reminds me of a drag queen. He just looks very gay. Maybe I have an issue with men in lip gloss - I just just just - boss lady tude help me.

and for the record, i have no problem with the dude - gay or otherwise - i just wonder why she did not know or why her friends did not say something.

In my opinion Terry still loves him. I wouldn't be surprised if they were still sleeping together; I mean really, what woman takes a bath with a man if she wasn't planning on doing a little somethin'? |
I cannot help you. At first glance, back in the day, he didn't "look gay". Now, he definately does. His mannerisms scream femininity.
I guess we all we so caught up in the woman goes on vacation and finds her a young buck notion. |
why have friends that you can't tell how you feel - yea, i'm sure she is still in love but why be a fool. what can she expect him to do - - - come back to her saying he changed his mind. its a good thing to be friends now maybe she can hang out at the gay club with him - lol

Well, with *some* women, there is a line that friends do not cross. Yes, we should all have friends that we can trust with any and everything. But with affairs of the heart some things we can't trust our friends with. Some women have ulterior motives and will create drama, whether that drama is created b/c she wants her friends man or that she doesn't want to see her friend happy. So when some friends, a close friend or associate, says something negative *some* women will wonder why and then 9 times outta ten a rift is created. Yes, saying "Terry your hubby is gay, take the blinders off!" is what ALL of her friends and family should have said. But I'm sure they didn't want to labeled as the one that is "hating" or whatever. I'm speaking from experience here. LOL! I used to have a friend that really needed a wake up call regarding her fiance (now husband) and she didn't believe me when she was told that her fiance kept making comments about me to people. We are no longer friends, and now she is in an unhappy marriage. I wonder what could be wrong with her marriage. |

Jonathan has done more to embaress his family by his current actions and lies than if he had just come out. He has put himself out there for criticism for how he's represented himself. You are in no more danger being gay in Jamaica than being black & walking through Beverly Hills. Hell you're more likely to be pulled over for DWB (driving while black) in any major city here in the US. Bad things happen to people - but please believe there isn't a squad of people running around the island trying to get rid of or harass all the homosexuals. For the people that keep saying how could Terry not know? You have to realize J did not dress or act the way back then as he does now. The eyebrows weren't arched and he didn't have the s curl (not that I remember). Did he look a little "soft"? - yes but some women can deal with a soft man. :p :p Edtied to add - as ironic as it is to use this example Eddie Murphy joked long ago - a woman can catch her man in bed in the act & will still believe the line "it wasn't me". Terry admits that she was suspicious before she actually confronted Jonathan - had one of her friends said something she would NOT have believed it - especially if he had denied it. It took her basically catching him out there for her to believe what was right in front of her face. A couple of my friends have been/are in jacked up relationships - (husbands aren't gay but they have serious issues) women wear blinders when they want to...learned a long time ago to just stay out of it unless she's being physically abused. |
