Quite frankly I didn't dig the shirt and I'm glad that because she refused to change her shirt and her sweater "slipped" off she got off the plane. The airline however, SHOULD refund her money. I just can't stand ADULTS who wear offensive shirts like that when there could be children around. I'm sorry by my neice right now is learning to read and is trying to decipher everything and if she seen a shirt like that I'd kick that person in the nuts (whether they had any or not).

I feel the exact same way - about kids who may read her shirt.

Okay, I am so glad I read this. I had the same thing happened to me when I was a child. When I was nine, I had to watch it with my parents. I asked mom what happened, why did Baby's father have to go help Penny? She told me she had been shot. I was so confused b/c I didn't recall seeing a gun or anybody getting shot.

Fast forward to the ninth grade band trip where somebody whipped out DD to watch on the bus. I looked at my seat partner and said, "Oh, good, I'm glad we're watching this. Now I can figure out where she gets shot." She looked at me like I had three heads. It didn't take long to figure out why.

In our case Rudey, they're gigantic golden mounds that we often squeeze, grab, lick or just rest our heads on for happiness and tranquility.

Stan-
I wish they came ala carte though.....

LOL!

Yeah, I was watching it at a sleepover the first time around and we weren't paying 100 percent attention, so I just figured I missed some of the plot points along the way. I thought Baby's daddy (hee!) just didn't want her hanging out with the bad kids because she might get injured just like Penny did. Or maybe Penny just had some mysterious Poor People disease.

How on earth do you get a nonstop flight on SWA?! I'm sure they exist, but I have yet to hear of one.

BTW, ATA has the oldest airplanes used in the US commercial planes, with JetBlue a close second.

Well, sadly, "clothing that is "lewd, obscene, or patently offensive." is still pretty vague and open to interpretation.
That being said, would she have been punted if the t-shirt said "I am a terrorist and I love to kill people"? Hmmmm........

Amtran (that's ATA's callsign) does have some older jets, but JetBlue has all brand-new Airbus A320s. Perhaps the high utilization rates (asses in the seats, planes in the air) may make these planes look a little shabby. JetBlue has only been around about five years.

Some of the major SWA gateway cities in the Northeast (BWI, Islip, Philly, for example) offer direct service with no stops.

Little trick in the book - choose the flights that use Boeing 737-700 equipment (73G in airline code) - they have much longer range than the -300 and -500. (Easy way to tell a SWA -700 from the older -300 and -500: they paint the underwing flap track fairings orange; many are being retrofitted with winglets.) These longer-range flights are usually flown in the mornings.

Thanks for the info! I fly too often to take an older plane, IMHO. I haven't tried JetBlue yet, though.

Cause we all know what an underwing flap track fairing is....

I'm assuming thats the bottom part of the wing??

-Scary because my father and grandfather had about 80 years of flying time between them (millitary, commerical and private)

No, she probably would have been arrested trying to get through security. Or at least detained and questioned.

If the airline doesn't get her, the passengers sure would.
