Is Wisconsin different? Do sorority girls mostly not party at fraternity shin-digs?
Almost every fraternity party I have been at several campuses has had a lot of sorority girls. But its always the fraternities that get in trouble for it. I am not saying the sororities should get in trouble, but when ever this type of situation is posted on GC sorority girls act horrified that boys would throw these parties, and admonish the boys for doing so. I can only think that the sorority girls that do this are at campuses where their sisters don't go to fraternity parties. There is competition among fraternities to throw parties to get girls from the sororities to come. It enhances the fraternity social life and leads to the brothers' increased dating prospects. The fraternities that obey all the rules get a lot of respect . . but little attention. So yes. Fraternity chapters violate risk management procedures daily. Often to the benefit of our fellow greek sororities. Since everyone on this site knows this and understands the reality, is it really fair to kick us when we are down? |
I am sorry you come from a chapter that never taught your undergrad members how important alumni are and that you have bad alumni relations within your chapter.
If you hate WI so much, and that is what this is about, don't live here. And if you already don't live here, don't come back. Quote:

I don't think fraternities NEED to throw these parties because the demand for them could be met in the non-Greek housing market. For every night that XY and GHI are throwing a party, so are 5-10 non-Greek houses. Let them get the tickets, they don't have a charter to lose. And ZZ-kai-, I am not driving from west of Minneapolis to Platteville to support my chapter on a monthly basis. Sorry, just not. We do our support from afar, since many of our advisory positions can be done with only a yearly visit - but that means that unlike our Madison and Milwaukee chapters (and potentially Oshkosh, although I'm sure you would know more about that campus than I do) we do not have CONSTANT INCESSANT NON-STOP alumnae superversion. The only way for me to know if they are engaging in negative behavior is if somebody tells me - and nobody is going to tell their alumnae they're throwing a kegger. |
Stay in MN, and be sure to tell Daunte Culpepper that he sucks.

You guys are not allowed to be Badgers or Packers fans anymore. Don't eat our cheese or drink our beer or milk anymore either.

And coming from a farm family, I don't think you get to tell me what to do with MY cheese. Go be a FIB. |

How do you know I didn't go to UW? Just because I wasn't initiated into the Alpha Pi chapter, doesn't mean I didn't go to school there....c'mon, lets stop ass-uming. Because when you ass-ume, you make an ass out of you and you.
And yes, I really believe you grew up on a farm. Good one. |

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and douse myself in gasoline and light a match because my team has the longest losing streak in Division 1-A football history... Who the heck loses to Tampa? (No offense to you USF folks, but I just needed to have a little pity party... packing up the violins now...) /end tangent and back to your regularly scheduled thread. Wait. Does anyone want to come and picket with me on O'Leary's lawn... ok ok. I'm done. /end tangent for real |

About one more personal attack, or an attack on a specifically named GLO in this thread and it's over.

I suggest that everyone go back and read the "Risk Management Guidelines" near the top of this forum.
