My sister went to Tates Creek High School with Brian Littrell (Backstreet Boys) and later on Farah Fath (from Days of our Lives) also went there.

We went to church with Brian though so he was never a big deal.

I went to Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio.

The only person that comes to mind for me is Harry "Butch" Reynolds. I am sure there are other famous people-- I know there are prominent ones like the president of the Akron Children's Hospital, a VP at The University of Akron, etc-- but I cannot think of anyone else who is truly "famous"!!

Butch is now coaching at Ohio State-- here is a bio on him...

I'd prefer not to say the name of the high school, since it's in a small town and people might be able to find me there still...;)

Travis Knight - NBA player
*Played for UConn, then was drafted by the Chicago Bulls and then was renounced, so picked up by the Lakers. Has played for the Lakers, Celtics, and Knicks, but it looks like he hasn't played since the 2002-2003 season.

(I still remember when he came to the high school my senior year and was presented a key to the town - or was it the school??? :D)

The infamous went to my high school:

Shannon Faulkner (the girl that bullied her way into The Citadel and quit, eventually went to Furman University and failed out, and ended up graduating from Converse College)

Shannon's mother taught at my high school. BTW, the whole situation with The Citadel was supported, started, and continued by her mother.

I used to go to church with Marty Clary, a former pitcher for the Atlanta Braves. He eventually played baseball in Mexico and South America. Unfortunately, one of his children fell out of the window of a hotel he was staying in. Very upsetting. :(

Mike Jones. Who? Mike Jones. Who? Mike Jones. (My sister heard he did, but we have not confirmed this. )

This Mike Jones?

And yeah... supposedly Anthony Mason (and his son) and Kelly Price went to my alma mater, Springfield Gardens HS. Did they graduate? Who knows. Not many do.

The only famous person I can think of from my HS (Simsbury, CT) is Jennifer Weiner, author of Good in Bed and several other books. Coincidentally, we both now live in metro Philly.

I'm not sure if people have heard of him outside of my area, but Pat Tillman went to my HS (Leland High School in San Jose, CA). He was a football player who joined the army and was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan.

If you've watched the news or listened to NPR at least once since he died, you know who Pat Tillman is.
