Aw man, I'm really sorry to hear that you were dropped by the ones you liked best. That pretty much is what happened to me last semester when I rushed, so I know how it feels and it's not too fun:(

tinydancer 08-22-2005 09:51 PM

I am very sorry that things turned out that way. It is indeed a hard decision to drop. Hugs to you.

bsp-mich24 08-22-2005 09:58 PM

Sorry to hear that. Are you going to go thru COB if any houses are still recruiting in the spring?

Buttonz 08-22-2005 10:33 PM

::hugs:: Is COB an option for you?

PhiMuLady150 08-22-2005 11:05 PM

BIG HUG!!!!

gatorgirl44 08-23-2005 10:39 AM

cob?

i don't know anything about cob's and whatever.

I signed an official withdrawl paper, so I don't even know if i'd be eligible.

COB is informal recruitment where the sororities host their own parties as time permits and continue until they are at campus total. These are usually a little easier to really get to know the ladies in a more laid back setting. There might be a few that COB this fall if they don't make quota or campus total, but there should be with graduating seniors that need to get back to campus total. This is a great way to rush. :)

PhiMuLady150 08-23-2005 10:57 AM

COB is Continious Open Bidding and generally happens after a formal recruitment period or in the term that formal recruitment is not taking place in which some houses (that partcipated in formal recruitment) hold more informal recruitment events. The Greek Affairs office should beable to provide you with more information and the rules associated with participating. I am not sure about UF and COB and rules so please call the Greek Affairs office or maybe your Recruitment Counselor. I hope this is of some help to you.
