Every time this discussion comes up, I remember the little mom & pop store near a school I worked in. They had a big ole sign in front that read:

Soda


Even after four years of school in an area where 80-100% of respondents on the map call it pop, I never changed :D


But now, I don't drink any of it :cool:

It's Coke or Co-Cola...

Co-Cola is Coke only. Coke can be used to describe any soft drink. :D

I call everything, except milk and water, juice. Childhood habit I guess.

If it is a co-coaler, that's a Coca Cola.

Me: I'll have a Coke.
Serve: We don't have Coke, is Pepsi okay?
Me: I'll have (anything but Pepsi). :rolleyes:

Ditto. Pepsi is tastes sweet for me. I know it's really not that much different from Coke, but I just feel like I need to scrape my tongue after drinking it. No wonder some people call it robot sweat.

Usually soda, but my husband says pop and I catch myself falling into his bad habits all the time!
