Any new news???

WCUgirl 06-04-2005 12:24 PM

Okay, my guesses are going to be Alpha Xi Delta (I'm a little biased :) ) and Delta Delta Delta.

The B Girl 06-04-2005 04:10 PM

I think my final guess is going to be Tri-Delt. I just have a feeling.....

:)

Sorry, no news yet...Before my paperwork could be sent to the main office for approval they had to get approval and a signature from the inititing chapter president...

I'll keep you posted!:)

And the only NPC group to do so :)

Yes, my heart and mind may be in Hawaii, but my feet are firmly planted in Florida. My husband and I just spent a week on Oahu in April and I just miss it incredibly. I lived there as a kid and going back was so amazingly wonderful. If you all ever have the opportunity, it is the place to go on vacation!

Any updates for us, FloridaTish?

FloridaTish 07-13-2005 09:30 AM

I wish I had some more news to update you all, but I am just in "AI Limbo". I have been keeping in touch with the Alumane President and she is just waiting on my AI paperwork approval. It was been about 1 1/2 months, but as I have read over and over in so many other successful AI threads, it seems like the summer months are the hardest waiting periods, especially for paperwork issues.

There are times I wish there was something more I could do, but I know that the ladies at the main offices of the "Pina Coladas" are not at my beck and call and that paperwork for an AI might not be a top priority. All I know is that i'm invited to the next Alumnae meeting in August allowing me to get to know everyone even better. The alumnae president is a really sweet person and she seems to be just as anxious as me to get the final approval.

From her last email:

....so no word yet on that. I am sure they are slow in the summer.... You know the day I hear something, you will know too! I am not excpecting to hear a yes/no decison, because I know it will be yes, I am just waiting to get some materials to share with you!
I'm glad she is as positive as she has been, because it makes me feel good about my decision to become a part of a great sisterhood.

I will keep you all updated as I recieve more word...A little prayer and some crossed fingers would help, though!

Lots of prayers and crossed fingers (and toes) here! It's wonderful that you are being so patient; AI certainly can be a long process, but it is a very worthwhile one as well!

i know how that goes....the summer month wait thing! that's how mine was too. don't know who all meets to decide on AI's, but i know our international officers don't meet too often, although some business is taken care of over email or phone.

hang in there! :)

Ah, yes...the infamous "AI Limbo." I've been there so long that I am beginning to hear the "Limbo Song" in my sleep:D

At least you've had some VERY encouraging responses.

Best wishes!
