Why not....you still have pics of letters that show up.

The problem, in my opinion, is that sig pics are annoying as hell, that people would not exercise good taste, that they would clutter up the site, that who wants to see the same picture over and over again.

:p

Basically that translates into "it's just another thing moderators have to do inorder to do our job and we already feel we have enough to do." If thats the case, tell john he needs more moderators.

:D I've been wating to be Pike mod for a LONG time now. :D :D

Hahahahahaha:D :D

I figured that thought would pop in your mind. :)

Hell no! I should become a moderator before him! ;)

Well if John made a Flames Forum, both of us could moderate it. Most sites have them, yet GC is still lagging behind in updating.

I don't know what an avatar is....

but I wouldn't mind a small (1" x 1" maybe) picture that would be displayed under the username. That way it wouldn't take up any extra space and there would be a size cap (and a limit of one picture)

Another message board I occasionally frequent does that and it's not a problem at all.

I can see allowing pix in signatures getting out of hand with size and stuff, but a small picture on the side is fine -- sort of like a buddy icon pic from AIM :)

If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you?

Well we're not talking about Avatars, we're talking about pic in signatures.
I'm well aware. But one thing leads to another, etc. etc. etc. I don't want to take the risk. Plus, its really not needed. If you want pics in your signature go to another board that allows you to do so. :P

I'm not sure where you work, but if anything the least bit sleazy comes up at my office computer, I better be able to explain it.

I'd rather not say, "I know a lot of gross people who have the need to continually post obscene photos." It's bad enough that someone I trusted with my computer once looked up a TON of porn, for which I'll never live down.

At my work they don't even ask for an explanation, they just fire you. Zero tolerance policy.
