I believe you said "Black Greeks don't depledge." State your purpose for such brave statement.

black greeks (i.e. black fraternities and sororities i.e. NPHC organizations) don't depledge. stop looking for something that isn't there.

What's sad about bringing up race? Surely there is a difference between bglos and wglos.

Black Greeks in the NPHC DO depledge. I know some very personally.

I would like to see a statistical study by a government agency citing this very statement b/c I hardly believe it is true. In the century or so that NPHC and NPC/IFC and other types of GLOs that there are, chances are, there have been some African American people who have depledged at one point or another regardless of which umbrella organization you're talking about.

In fact, I would like to offer my own experience with a suitemate who pledged and later decided to depledge her NPHC organization. :)

I think the use of the word "depledge" was incorrect. If the person has not crossed, they are in no position to "depledge" as non-BGLOs generally use the term. ;)

If she had crossed, the use of the term "depledged" would be accurate.

The term "depledge" was misused by the poster my Soror was quoting.

Thanks everybody for the POSITIVE input and also thank you for the negative input that was put in a respectful way (unlike some people). Anywayz, the reason for leaving in four days had nothing to do with the fact that I could not handle what was going on. I left because of all the drama that was going on with the girls who was putting me through the the process. These ladies in this specific organization had so much hatred towards each other and internal drama that it made me rethink my decision. Who need sisters that betray each other and talk behind each other back and they supposed to be sisters? As a Black sister I already deal with alot of drama who need sisters who are going to bring more drama? You join an organization for its postivity and interest in the community! What is so suspect about that????

Not racially sensitive by far, just wondering why he/she had to make some lame statement pertaining to race.
