Is it bad that my favorite character in this movie was the White Witch? She was a badass! I wish they would have shown a little more violence, but I guess it was a children's movie.

I love being off work on Friday and seeing a movie in a non-crowded theater on opening day.

Why can't they just leave it as is. Dang man, I'm a Christian but I don't need to know the whole meaning behind the film. Yes I knew C.S. Lewis was a born again Christian, I DO know the story....goodness gracious!!! Hopefully this is just a gimick....they can't possibly trying to help "Christians" especially when they say Instead of tithing, worshippers will be asked to pre-order the film on DVD. Yeah right!

Anyhoo...I LOVED the movie. It was soo great!! And although I haven't read the first book in a long time, I remembered some parts of it. WOOOO HOOO!!!! Lol.

At first my mom and I thought it was going to be the first book and the last book together, but after watching it, it really seems just like the 1st book, so I wonder if they are going to continue the series? Do y'all think?

Good actor, the costuming could have been a lot better. At least for a character such a her.

I'd love to see them do a prequel with the professor as a child and how the wardrobe and lamp post came to be. I really enjoyed that book.

Great movie, definitely better than the BBC version HBO used to show all the time when i was a kid (and apparently own the VHS as well thanks to moms remembering everything).

I remember that movie. It had the cheesiest effect for when the wolf turned into the captain.

Is there definitely going to be more to come?

DC_Zeta1920 12-10-2005 10:12 PM

I saw the movie and I loved it and I don't say that often about movies I go to see. I thought Lucy was the cutest and the Beavers. I absolutely loved the beavers.

Can't wait til the next chapter to comes out! :)

AOII_LB93 12-10-2005 11:15 PM

Saw and loved it...thought there were 7 not just 3? I remember there being 7...am I nuts?

kstar 12-10-2005 11:22 PM

There are 7.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Prince Caspian
Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Horse and his Boy
The Silver Chair
The Magician's Nephew
The Last Battle

I know I got the last two right, and the first one, but I'm not sure about the middle four. I'm a little peeved that when I looked at books the other day and they had them in the wrong order. They had them in chronological order, with the Magician's Nephew first, but that bugs me, because they should be read in the order written.

absoluteZChi 12-11-2005 01:43 AM

LOVED IT!!!!

Saw it today and it was very true to the book.....I was sort of disappointed that so many little kids were there....I'm talking under the age of THREE!!!

At the end, during the credits, I missed the convo between Lucy and the Professor....the baby behind me decided to scream!

Could someone tell me what was said...

BTW, I know when I first read the books years ago, the order was The LWW and then the Magician's Nephew and then the rest, but since the movie started in production, I've read so many sites that argue the order the books should be read and why.

ShaedyKD 12-11-2005 12:05 PM

Lucy was so annoying! Stupid girl wanders off with a half man, half deer guy who lures her into his house with tea and cakes, and then he almost kidnaps her. The Beavers and Phillip were my favorite.

Edmond: Giddy up horsey!
Horse: My name is Phillip.

Oh, and the White Witch, because she was a bitch.

Bobby's fave is the wolves because they were badasses and talked smack to Peter.

PhiPsiRuss 12-11-2005 01:57 PM

I just saw it and I was underwhelmed. The movie had the feel of a children's book with sub-par special effects.
