Kerry lost, Bush won and you'll have no room in the next 4 years to accuse him of 'stealing' the vote'. I know it's an emotional time for you. Please do not take it out on your fellow GC'ers.

Actually, I'm not very emotional at all. I'm dealing with a lot of personal and medical issues lately that have put the election on the back burner. But, of course, you and your little friend probably think that all of my life centers around politics.

I voted for Mel Martinez as Senator, and I'm not a registered Democrat. I could offer you a copy of the absentee ballots I've submitted in the past two years, as I usually make a copy for my records.

Nope. No accusing of Bush "stealing the vote", since I believe this was an incredibly fair election. I'll just have 4 years to protest him making our country go to crap.

Question for everyone: This is just a general question since I'm interested in this...did you vote for the person you voted for because of their platform or because of certain issues? Or for some other reason?

The title of this thread is really unfortunate. Bordering on childish and insulting.

I agree that this thread is a little ridiculous but I think it's funny what people get mad about sometimes. :rolleyes:

It's certainly not; you're quite right about that.

Childish and insulting titles or posts are, however, more likely to be treated as reflecting childish and insulting thoughts. If one wants to be taken seriously, one should avoid insults or childishness.

Intelligent, informed people of goodwill can differ on

(a) who would be the better president for our country at this time,
(b) whether the war in Iraq was justified or not,
(c) whether the war in Iraq is helping or hurting the war on terrorism,
(d) whether Bush or Kerry would do better with the economy, or
(e) insert whatever other issue you want to.

Who's right? We'll probably have to wait for history to tell us. In the meantime, I might disagree with those who voted differently from me, but I don't assume that they are less intelligent, less informed or less patriotic than I am just because they came to a different conclusion than I did.

Unless, of course, they do something that makes me wonder whether they've really put some thought into it or have just jumped on whatever bus suits them. "Real Greeks Vote Bush"? That gets about as much credence from me as "Real Americans Vote Kerry," "Real Christians Vote Buchanan," or "Only Idiots Vote Clinton/Nader/Bednarik/whoever."

And despite it all (and much to the disappointment of some who want to be proven right that evil has overtaken us), the Republic will survive.

Anyway, you read too much into it. I don't really care whether or not you're a Republican. I just enjoy mocking the poor spelling and grammar of others.

I'm surprised this made 2 pages and still no picture of Bush in his little cheerleading skirt.
