Hey cricket, there's a reason why Jason is back again. If you go see it, you'll know exactly why. I thought the same thing when I went to see it on Tuesday, but I'm not going to say anything about what the deal is.... :p

Curiosity got the best of me, so I actually saw Halloween last week. The acting was bad and the dialogue was horrible, but it was actually a pretty fun movie!

Maaaaaaaaaannnn, I'm sorry you guys,
Jason, and Micheal, just need to kick the bucket.
I am a HORROR FLICK FAN, once you get past the third movie, the scence and the acting gets a little dull.
Anyway, in halloween the only thing I liked was, when busta rhymes was talking to micheal, and was like,.... "Now take ya silly ass on out the back doe' cause i'm handlin' dis...." and micheal was looking like, are talking to me??(and then he just turns around and walks out) I just thought that was hilarious (just like a brotha to say some isht like that) i'm just glad busta didn't you know Black people are always good for getting killed after 30 seconds on the screen. :D LOL

The shop is filled with an eclectic cast of characters that share their stories, jokes, trials and tribulations. Eddie (Cedric the Entertainer) is an old barber with strong opinions and no customers. Jimmy (Sean Patrick Thomas) is a highly educated barber with a superiority complex who can't stand Isaac (Troy Garity), the new white barber who just wants a shot at cutting some hair. Ricky is an ex-con with two strikes against him and is desperately trying to stay straight. Terri (Eve) is a hard-edged woman who can't seem to leave her two-timing boyfriend. Hello to everyone, :)

I just got home from the movies and I saw the new stand-up comedy movie featuring Martin Lawrence.

I liked the movie -my favorite part is when he talks about "Messing with the OOOOOOOOWEEEEEEE"!!! :p

Questions?

What is your opinion of the movie? and What is your favorite part?

DIVACHYCK 08-11-2002 03:18 AM

Stop! Wait a minute.

I saw the movie last Friday and I loved it!! My favorite part was the "ghetto hokey pokey". When you really think about it (cha cha slide) it is! What took the cake is when he said "Stop! Wait a minute" :D

Yo!!! He was wrong for that!!! But DIVACHYK, he's telling the truth. Another part that I liked was when he talked about the "Critics" - " 'A critic is a person who can't do your job, but 'Hating' on you' ".:D

I could also tell that he has grown as a person, where he spoke candidly about the mistakes he's made, and admitted he was "wrong". You can tell that a person has truly changed when they accept their shortcomings and not blame others for them.

I also liked Barbershop. It was a "feel good" movie with a cute plot. Everyone knows of a hang out place in their town where everybody goes to trip out.:) I gotta say my favorite character was the hustleman. He was funny. How you gonna sell DVDs, Satellites, computers, dogs, etc. all at the same time...

This movie had my azzzzz on the floor. Keep in mind I have been sick all weekend and I went and LMAO. That hustle man was HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII LARIOUS especially selling the dogs, condoms and diapers.

This movie did have a message and CED stole the movie of course. His wig and his "Accent" damn near was all he needed.

I damn near flatlined when eve's dude told her she was not that cute but African man came through and beat him down.

OVERALL I say go head on Ice Cube for doing the dang on thang.

librasoul22 09-15-2002 10:04 PM

Okay, I am typing this from my laptop. I am camped out in front of AMC. Won't I be the first in line to buy tickets for Brown Sugar! Hmph! :D

Cedric the Entertainer was on TV talking about his character and he said that he grew his hair out for like 3 months for the movie. All he added was some grey hair coloing.

I saw the movie Friday night and loved it. I was particularly pleased because the movie was filmed in my hometown Chicago. I was so happy for my Chicago comedians finally coming up. The guy who played Hustle man and a lot of the other local comedians starred in the movie did a great job, even though they played small parts.

Ced had me cracking up when he was talking about Rosa Parks, O.J., and Jesse Jackson. "Who the hell is Rosa Parks." "O.J. did it." "F%$@ Jesse." I was even laughing when he was trying get serious. I just couldn't help it because his voice was so funny.

I enjoyed the movie so much, I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Oh yeah, is it just me or is Ice Cub looking kind of good these days. All through the movie I was like "Man, Ice Cub is sexy."
