What Asses!

When did size matter?

It doesn't make sense to produce when the cost is greater than the revenue. We've had several composite companies refuse to work with chapters on my campus of initiation that were smaller than X amount of members because they wouldn't profit from the composite.

Looking at the composite, I think it's generic. Where the University name is, it simply says "University." And when you put the picture in a photo viewer and enlarge it, the members look a little older than collegians. It may be just for advertisement, that would be my best guess.

Actually, when I clicked on that particular composite (and for all others on that page), the image opened in a new window. At the top of the window, it said "XO_KSU.jpg". I'm thinking Kansas State.

That has to be one of the largest. Zeta Nu at Miami of Ohio claims to be the largest AXiD chapter in the nation, though, according to their website. They have a roster but I didn't really want to count up 175ish names to see how many they have. :p

I would change Gamma Phi Beta's largest to U of Oklahoma. Their pledge classes range from 80-90 women!

Univ of Alabama can't be our largest chapter, no offense but it's probably near the middle........I mean the Univ of WA has around 110 and I wouldn't say they are the largest either.

I would agree with kk, probably University of Ok.

I enjoyed being part of a large chapter. There are merits to both small chapters and large chapters.

I would definitely say they'd be one of the largest after recruitment (we have deferred). My information has them listed at 144 girls at the beginning of the semester, so add a quota of approximately 50. They are currently about the 3rd largest chapter at Miami, and a very strong chapter. :)

I don't think you'll ever have a definitive answer to the question. I checked a lot of ADPi sites, and most of them do NOT list the sisters or numbers. And frankly, with all the internet freaks out there, I'm glad they don't. As I said, I'm almost positive that another chapter of ours is larger than Auburn, but just doesn't list the numbers.

But it is a fun exercise...

I totally agree. I'm in a chapter that varies between about 150-200 members, and I love it. To say that larger chapters don't have sisterhood is kind of insulting, in my opinion.
