Personally, I think that this was a desperate, and not brilliant move on Kerry's part. Unlike all of us GCers, Kerry has access to accurate polling data. My guess is that he knows that everything is stacked against him, and that its looking like he'll lose by 10+ points. |

I truly think the point Kerry was trying to make is that a very close member to one of Bush's administration (which is for the marriage amendment) is of the homosexual persuasion. In turn, how can this administration turn their backs on such an issue when one of their own has a lesbian for a daughter? I think that's the point he was trying to make. He was pinpointing a flaw in their marriage amendment argument.
