Sigma Kappa DID make quota at UGA... we have 62 new beautiful girls!!!! We did not have to snap bid.

Hooray!!! Congrats to your fabulous chapter and the 62 new members! (and sorry for my mistake)

On a different note. . .we had a fabulous chapter consultant from UGA several years ago. I think she was a little taken aback by our very non-southern chapter but she was the sweetest woman!

I just heard from a Kappa at UGA (that was previously from Furman) that our chapter there made quota! :)

What about Theta at UGA????? They usually make quota, but things do sometime change from year to year so I'm curious.

I'd also appreciate any news about the Theta chapter at UK as well...........my sources are a lil slow :P

I do know some of the chapters at UGA that but did not make quota...and frankly I was surprised to hear some of them....but perhaps they made too many cuts too early in the process....

Our alum chapter President and I went up to help with Prefs at Gamma Phi Beta on Wednesday -- three parties with a max of 60 girls each -- we had a full house each time and it was fantastic! All of the girls were gorgeous -- I loved checking out all the different dresses and man, I could not believe all the HIGH HEELS and pointy toed shoes -- OUCH!

One of the gals from Peachtree City who I wrote a rec on pledged Gamma Phi -- yay!!!:D

who did and who did not make quota at UGA if anyone knows?

The Theta Rho chapter of Sigma Kappa at the University of Kentucky took in 50 girls yesterday!!! Quota was 61 but this will give them the chance to COB for the rest of the school year!

I looked at the link that tells where each new girl received a bid and there were 839 girls-which means that if 1060 went through rush, then 79% pf the girls who signed up for rush received bids. NOW-if there were 86 girls that made it to pref and did NOT get a bid, then that means that 135 girls either dropped out or were cut by everyone prior to pref. Now, If 925 girls went to a pref party and 839 of them got bids, that means that 90.7% of them received a bid. I have been told that several more were snapped later-so acceptance was in the 90% range. Not too bad I guess!!! SO I don't know if 86 is considered a high number of PNM's not getting bids or not. But those are the percentages.

:( My heart hurts for the ones who didn't get bids even though they went to prefs. I don't think very many girls were snapped...maybe 25? That's why I like quota plus--it seems like if you play the game and go to prefs, you should get a bid.

I agree!!!!!!! Somehow someway if you go to preference parties I believe a PNM should receive a bid.
