Go to the office of Greek Life right after Bid Day and register your name with the Greek Life Director. He will make sure your contact info goes to the right people.

Edited to Add: Don't forget that Alpha Epsilon Phi will be colonizing in the spring at UCF! If COB doesn't work out in the fall, definitely look into this opportunity to become a founding sister!

Good idea Andrea! I totally suggest COB-- and if things didn't work out for alot of PNMs, because of the change in schedule, PNM numbers may be lower than planned-- so COB this fall may be necessary for many chapters! Good Luck Bella!

ditto earlier posts...
go to cob and see what's out there.
do not cut out any options and keep your eyes wide open.
who knows what might happen.
cheers and good luck sweetie

You girls are so awesome!

Hey AdPiUCf...are you helping out at AdPi this rush? If so, may I ask where they are rushing at? I heard about the house caving in and no one being able to live in there...

Maybe this will be a COB thread ;-). May I ask what happens with COB??

adpiucf 08-30-2004 01:31 AM

Hello Bella!

I'm many many miles away from UCF nowadays... ADPi at UCF sustained some roof damage as a result of the hurricane. Thank goodness for their wonderful house corporation and house insurance policy! Repairs are underway and the current house residents are being put up in a nearby hotel.

The back rooms are a construction-zone right now, but ADPi is able to hold recruitment activities out of the main areas in the house-- the dining room, formal living room and TV room. The girls are really thrilled to be able to have the parties at "home" as opposed to a nearby classroom, and they're excited to bring in the new member class AND the live-ins can't wait to move back in!

I PM'd you!

Chapters holding COB will contact you directly to inform you of events and invite you-- COB events are a lot more laid back and relaxed than the "rush" of formal recruitment. To put your name "out there," you'll need to contact the office of Greek Life. Once the sororities looking to COB get the lists of unmatched PNM's and women interested in COB, they will contact the women they'd like to invite. If you know any sorority women from class or campus activities, and you'd like to get to know their chapters, tell them you'd love to learn more about their sororities and attend COB events, if they are holding any after formal recruitment.

If I can ask, do you know what groups normally COB? Or does it change, due to quota? Do I need anything else (SAT scores, GPA, etc) when I go into Greek Affairs?

I realized ZTAngel was a UCF alum after reading a few of her posts and all.

Thanks for all the help!!

Definitely check out AEPhi and COB. There are still many opportunities for you to go Greek.

TrueBlueKappa 09-01-2004 09:20 AM

Hi there!
I would defnitely check out AEPhi's colonization. As a charter member of the Kappa chapter here at UCF, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It is such a wonderful experience to be able to mold a chapter into what you want it to be. Being a charter member of a chapter is such a rare opportunity, and it is so worth it!
I'm also PMing you about COBing.

ADPiAkron 09-09-2004 07:34 PM

So Bella-- how is COB going? Any parties yet?? Any word on anything?

BellaBerlee 09-09-2004 07:37 PM

Welp, no. I'm not getting worried   I called Greek Affairs on Tuesday and they said that sororities will be contacting either end of this week or beginning next week. But lady I talked to said they'd be starting soon and that the girls will contact me personally.

BUT bad news *once again for Florida* another hurricane on the way, could mean more wait for COB...if Ivan hits us we'll probably have Mon and Tuesday off...but we shall wait and see!!

ADPiAkron 09-09-2004 07:41 PM

Good Luck honey!! And stay safe-- from Ivan!

BellaBerlee 09-14-2004 12:47 PM
