"In her first interview after a federal judge sentenced her to five months in prison, Martha Stewart told Barbara Walters that she cheated no one and compared her ordeal to that of anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela."

Give me a break!

I hear ya there! Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in prison.. Martha's only getting 5 months. How pretentious is that?

To Martha, five months spent eating cafeteria food slopped on a tray instead of ornately presented, and sleeping on sheets that are less than 300 count, could seem like 27 years... :p I must agree, though, there is no comparison between her situation and Mandela's.

Here is an article from the Danbury News-Times about the facility there: http://news.newstimes.com/story.php?id=63479 It is a low-to-minimum security facility, and she is likely to be assigned to kitchen work.

And how can you possibly compare stock issues and lying to the government to apartheid?

Absolutely incredible.

It's funny how she acts like it is the media out to get her. It is the media that hates successful women. It is the media that she a women was a part of but they are out to get her. We all love her and believe everything she says.

I've never wanted to go to prison, but it would be kind of nice to know that Martha Stewart is your chef while you're in the clink.
