We'll find out something for sure when OPEC meets later this week. If they boost production, our costs should go down.

Prices dropped about 10 cents overnight here. I paid $1.77/gal.

Somehow, I'm conditioned to think that's cheap. Which is really kind of sick.

Only $0.55 till Oahu hits the $3 mark. I won't be surprised.

Prices dropped here too--- gas is $1.89 a gallon. A week ago Saturday I paid 2.06/gallon, on Thursday I paid $1.93, and hopefully it will still be "cheap" tomorrow.

Yes, as I already stated I drive a gas hog SUV that gets 13mpg--- I drive 40+ miles roundtrip to work each day--plus whatever errands I run--- last Saturday I put $56 of gas in-Thursday I put $52 in, and I have about 50miles to empty. It is unreal!!!

I haven't purchased gas since the 25th of April...The usual 20 or so dollars that fills my tank only did about 2/3rds of it. If it would stop raining I wouldn't drive at all other than to the grocery store once a week, or to the library if I have a lot of books or other errands.

I really enjoy living in a small town and being able to walk to work and class. Saves me money on gas and a parking permit. I decided not to go visit this weekend, as I wanted to save my money for a 4th of July trip for my grandfather's birthday. If I lived at home I'd be taking public transportation or carpooling. Even if gas was free, there is still no where to park and too much traffic in San Francisco.

Just an FYI... there's a gas station on Northline just north of Fort St that has some cheap gas. And the Amaco (I can only get Amaco or BP unless I pay cash for it) on Northline by Aquinas has it cheap too. Last I saw it was $2.01.

Damn remember when gas was like $1.65 and we all thought THAT was high?

Shell Stations in many S E states closed for selling the two lowest grades of gasoline!

Dah they had to much sulfur additive in the gas! Wont hurt the car, polute more but also jack up the fuel gauge!:o

Gas is starting to edge down in K C Metro area even though it is Holiday weekend.

Saudia Arabia is under attack by terriosts for beeing helpful to the evil empire, USA.

Gas Plants all of a sudden are just now keeping up over production when a week ago they couldnt!

Thank god I just drive @ 6 miles a day in My Honda, five speed. No shift shift stick up my ass or overly big guzzeler, I deal with it!

Drive away in the Big SUVs, have fun, drive and be comfortable. Dont worry about the ride of a Honda, Saturn or Toyota:D God drives better than a big car, cheaper to drive!

Filled up this morning (Memorial Day) and the price was actually down to $1.93/gallon after being $2.00 plus last week.

AlphaGamDiva 05-31-2004 04:13 PM

the highest i've seen it here is $2.04.....it might've been a few cents higher in lexington, though.

anyone else remember when gas was .98 a gallon?

and i was excited when i got to bowling green and it was $1.80

I've said this somewhere before. The first time I filled up my first car (58 Austin Healey Sprite), gas was 21 cents per gallon for "High Test" -- like today's premium.

There was no self service then, so I told the guy to put in $2.00 worth, and it wouldn't fit. Seems the car only had a 8 gallon tank.

The cost of petrol is going up .40 here in South AFrica. Too bad there is no alternative way to go to work. Public transportation is not an option for me. I have begun to bike to work, but then the moved the office and now I have to drive to work.

Here in the Oklahoma City metro, gas prices have fallen quite a bit over the last 2 weeks. There's gas in the area for as little as $1.66 right now.

Well, check one of those cheapgasprices websites that covers your town. Here in OKC, some gas merchants are still trying to charge $1.95 per gallon. Strangely, the high prices all come from the same chain -- Texaco/Shell.

My old SUV got around 10mpg. That'd be a $45 fill-up pretty much weekly if not more.
Luckily I now drive a Camry. My insurance also dropped by over $1000 a year when I made the switch.
