Famaican accent, part 2.
A member of the NPHC listserv had this reaction to a CNN story about Uncle Sam & Miss Cleo.
LMBAO. :p :p "Call me now. I have called-id so I'll know if its you or the gobment. I've got a number for ya and I know who your cat's been sleeping with. So call me now. I'll be waiting by the pay-phone on Fakeem and Shakeem." Here's a link to the story: http://www.cnn.com/2002/US/02/14/mis....ap/index.html |
Ms Cleo A Fraud
As if we didn't know...
THAT'S A CALIFORNIA ACCENT? A birth certificate obtained by the state of Florida showing that "Jamaican" TV psychic Miss Cleo was actually born in Los Angeles and is the daughter of American parents. "We sought this document because the company has gone to great lengths to say that Miss Cleo is a master shaman from Jamaica," state assistant attorney general David Aronberg tells the Sun-Sentinel newspaper. |
Sorry to jump in here.... :)
I read the article on that in the Sun-Sentinel the other day (Thursday). I have the transcripts if anyone wants to read them. The Sun-Sentinel was able to obtain all the documents because she lives in the Broward County area (Ft.Lauderdale). Her real name is Youree Dell Harris and she was born in Los Angeles. Her parents are from Texas and California. The psychic company she is a part of is being sued for fraud and they named "Miss Cleo" as a defendant. They are also being sued for "chasing after people who didn't call the psychic hotline and trying to collect money from them using questionable tactics." |
