Their being "thuggish" does not mean that they cannot speak grammatically correct, aren't college educated or professional.

This is TOTALLY confusing to me. So you want someone to be a bit of a tough guy when necessary, why not ASSERTIVE when necessary, I don't know a thug that speaks correctly and EDUCATED.

Ok yo know what I aplogize. So I am going to be honest, of course there may have been times when he wanted too, and there have been times when I wanted to knock him out. but to say I/he deserves to be hit, I do not think so! To me when an adult hits another adult, they lack the words to better express their emotions and anger. Best bet is to be a mature adult and have, get control of your anger and talk!!

Thugs! Image is everything people. Most people claiming to be thugged out are not! But once again Guys play the role to impress women. A true thug is that way because he wants to be not because it is what he is. Go out to tommorow ladies and tell you local neighborhood thugs that pocket protectors are this years sexy item and mad thugs will be walking around with pocket protectors. I know a lot of so called thugs that used to get wrecked in grade school and high school but now perp the image. Being a thug is a way of life for some for others it is a show! If you want a thug be prepared for the times you cannot find him when you want him, that his ambitions in life may not be compatible with yours, you may not want to bring him around people you are trying to impress, or you can't be seen with him outside the bedroom! Know your thug before you go with him if he displays some of these qualities and you still go with him take him for what he is DO NOT TRY TO CHANGE HIM!

I wanted to say that it depends on your opinion on what a thug is, cause there some wanna bes out there. And yes I date a so called thug, reformed thug what ever. He was in a gang by the age of 10. stoped graduated high school in three years, went to college to play b-ball,graduated, has his won real estate investment firm at the age of 23. And his talks like he is educated. Like he said he was a boy when he was in a gang and being a "thug" and now he has became a man and left childish things behind. Also, I must add he is alot more mature than the rest of the 23, 24, 25,... men I meet. He has experiencd alot things I can not image or even want to. But cross him, disrespect his family anything that matters to him and I guess his so called thug ways will appear.
I aplogize for the long post, but I had to respond!!

Yall still didn't answer my question either. Have yall ever DESERVED a smack, slap, beatdown, whatever? I'm not asking how hard yall are.

'sup O-Ape,

I would define a thug as the following:
-one for whom I'm constantly bailing out of jail
-one for whom I've spent more time looking at him through bulletproof glass
-one for whom I would not leave in my house by 'hisself' for fear my chit would get gone
-one for whom I couldn't be the headstrong person I am for fear I'd get an Ike Turner ass whoopin
-one for whom I'd cringe when I introduced him to any of business associates we may accidentally run into

To me, that's a 'thug'. What ya have to be able to differentiate within the man's character is whether being a 'thug' is a lifestyle. I'm sure there are women out there who seek out thugs and that's the only kind of guy she wants. But, I think the majority of us just want a good, strong man!I think that most women want to feel secure with their man and want to feel that he can handle his own. I also believe that women want men who are agressive and can be a positive force in their life. A strong shoulder to cry on... A strong back to make them remember why God made them woman... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif These qualities are ironically the foundations for a 'thug'. So again it's all in discernment.

BTW Original, I've changed my username from 'jazbri' to sistarisin...
