I'm just curious - there are automated ways of bidding (and bid-sniping) on Ebay. I don't think it would be that hard to create a program that kept a list of "allies" and entered bids at the last minute only if nobody on your list happened to be the current high bidder.

Yes, it is already on ebay!

I collect certains things from ebay with LXA, there are Other Brothers that collect certain items and We TRY to help each other in not over bidding each other!

While some get their panties all bundled up in a wad, there are collectors who have specific reasons for collecting certain things.

1. WPTW collects and is a great help to G A!

2. One Brother collects to do a cetain thing for His Chapter as far as Badge Collections are in the picture..

If I wasnt to do what they do, I would, but I also have specific Items that I bid on!

I got one from one of My Brothers who I totaly appreciate, in return, another Brother gave Him Something In My Pressence that filled in a Collection piece.

That is what is important!

Dont snivle but bid or not!

I have seen many great Pieces from different Greek Organizations, and have put on Threads, to let them know.

All of a sudden, it became none of my business, So be it!:(

So, I do not do that anymore!:(

Maybe my original post was unclear. By "automated," I meant "create a program or script that automatically does this" so people from various GLOs don't have to be physically at their computers if they want to bid-snipe on something (in other words, deliberately enter a bid at the last minute). You might also want the program to keep track of users you don't want to bid against so you don't drive the price up. So this was just a practical/logistical thing, not a complaint.
