Well, with regard to Halle, although she is definitely beautiful and talented, she isn't the only beautiful Black Actress out there who is talented. As those said before me, I think someone who isn't very well known would be good in this role. Having Halle Berry play yet another Black female icon would be like saying she is the only one we have to offer who can portray historic figures and that isn't the case.

While I was surfing the net looking for people who I think could play Lena Horne, I came on this website. It has a lot of black actresses on there, but Jasmine Guy is still my favorite.

No. If it were me, and I had the legacy that Lena Horne had, I would not want anyone even the least bit risque playing me. Janet is a little too risque in her personal life to play Lena, who was always known to be so elegant and prim (at least this is what I believe her to be known as).

Jasmine will be 41 so for 41 she looks her age. I also think lighter people generally show signs of aging quicker, especially if they are really thin.
Yes I think Ms Horn is being a little unreasonable. Good luck finding someone who has not in some fashion did something in bad taste, I think it's being very judgemental.
But I agree with whoever said an unknown, have a cast call, bet they will find a 100 Lena lookalikes in all ages.
