Well, I thought Chi O was the third with us and Theta in 1985... are you sure they didn't recolonize then? I can't think of who else it would be... I know KD, ZTA, and ADPi have been here for longer than 50 years, and Tri-Delta has to have been earlier than '85, because Leeza Gibbons is an alumnae... I'm pretty sure they were one of the first ones colonized here, anyway. Curious.

also not to be nit-picky, but phi mu has 120 chapters nationally.
it is great to hear how many groups are interested! i can't wait to find out who will present! do you think that more than one group will come on in the next few years? |

The following groups had chapters but no longer have them including three chapters that chartered, folded, re-chartered and then folded again: AOPi (1933 - 1937 and again from 1978 - 1983) Sigma Sigma Sigma (1977 - 1983), Sigma Kappa (1932 - 1939), Alpha Epsilon Phi (1945 - 1949 and 1967 - 1969), Sigma Delta Tau (1932 - 1933 and 1956 - 1960), Pi Beta Phi (1931 - 1984), Delta Gamma (1985 - 2003) and Kappa Alpha Theta (1989 - 2001). Hope this helps. |
Hi again ladies!
I called my friend again and she said that the numbers she gave me were what your nationals reported to NPC, and that newly installed chapters might not be reflected in those numbers. Hope I didn't cause too much confusion!!! SB |

I was at USC in 1986-1990. AXO came in 87 or spring 88 (I lived in Capstone then and this is when I saw the colony posters) and KAT came later. I remember seeing them get initiated at Rutledge chapel while looking out my window. This would have been fall 89 or spring 90 ( I lived in rutledge college on the horseshoe). There is no chance they came in 85. I was still in high school then.
PTKKG you and I are the exact same age. Wonder if I knew you at USC?? |
Wow, for [me] being in a sorority at Clemson... currently... I know NOTHING! Well, I do now at least. I'm glad everyone else knows whats going on.
However, If I hear anything... I'll be sure to let you all know. [unless, of course, you all know before I do] :) |

I have often wondered that too! I think from one of your other posts or PMs that you said you rushed in fall of '88. That's when I rushed too. I had one good friend that went DG when I went Kappa. I wish I knew how to contact her. You are right about AXO. They colonized in the fall of '87 (I had two friends who were charter members) and were installed the next March. Theta came my senior year (fall of '89) and were installed in January of '90. I had two friends who were charter members of their chapter too. |
hmm... I guess I was just misinformed.. I had heard somewhere that there were two other sororities that came to USC at the same time as us. Looking at the chapters that have been here the longest, it shows that strength comes in alumnae support.
