Peaches-n-Cream 01-15-2004 02:58 PM

My DPhiE big sister gave me this nickname when I was initiated.

ADPiSAI 01-15-2004 03:02 PM

the diamond is a symbol for ADPi
then it's that whole 'diamonds are forever' thing, which somebody turned into a really cute saying for ADPi that I can't remember exactly because I just got in from class and my brain hasn't totally thawed yet.

Jill1228 01-15-2004 03:20 PM

Mine is pretty simple:

Jill-my first name
1228- my birthday is December 28th (GC was down on my birthday a few weeks ago!) :(

There ya go, Jill 12/28 :D

Jill1228 01-15-2004 03:22 PM

Ok, just as long as the "Glitter" part is no relation to Mariah Carey's movie "Glitter" :D

It's some members of my harem.

The boy I was dating when I registered on GC used to call me Geeker, which evolved to Geeky, and I like Penguin(s), so there you have it. ;)

Seriously, when I was stationed at Hurlburt Field in Ft Walton Beach FL, there was an annual event called the Billy Bowlegs Festival...the beauty queen contest/pageant they had every year was the MISS MULLET contest and it was NOT a joke!

:eek: How would you like to be Miss Mullet????? Ack!!

Bwa ha ha! I grew up in FWB...actually, Billy Bowlegs and the Mullet Festival are different (it took me nearly 22 years to be able to distinguish the difference!), but still...Miss Mullet is still sketchy! :D My parents wouldn't be caught dead near the Mullet Festival. :p

I wanted a name that didn't indicate my gender, affiliation, or school. I was supposed to graduate in 2003, and I'm pretty short. :)

aurora_borealis 01-15-2004 04:13 PM

Aurora = Light
Borealis = Northern

I was living in Alaska at the time, and I am proud of my Scandinavian heritage. Though I may have a new screen name in the future.

KillarneyRose 01-15-2004 04:16 PM

Delta Zeta's flower is the Killarney Rose, hence my Greek Chat name. I'm pretty boring ! :D

wrigley 01-15-2004 04:21 PM

I liked the fact that my apartment at the time was close enough to Wrigley Field that I could hear the fans singing during the 7th inning stretch from my window. I'm a die hard Cubs fan. It made sense. God I miss that apartment. :(

I once did a presentation on him in my Creative Writing class. I found out he used to write a Xanth book every year. I don't remember seeing any lately.

ThetaPrincess24 01-15-2004 05:10 PM

mine comes from the fact i'm a Theta, I treat myself like a princess because i think of myself as a princess, and I'm 24.....or will be till April :)

queequek 01-15-2004 05:16 PM

queequek = a MISPELLED name of a Moby Dick character, whose coffin saved Ismael (sp?) life - Ismael is the main character in Moby Dick, the story teller.

See, the whole book fulls of hard names to spell. :rolleyes:

OOOH! I'm jealous! I'm a diehard Cubs fan too and I'd KILL to live that close to Wrigley! Why on earth did you leave?
