We're giving out personalized mint tins. They'll have
"Meghan and Daniel October 2, 2004" printed on them. Rather inexpensive and still useful :) We're also considering letting the guests take home the mini wine glass candles we're using for centerpiece accents. They're tiny glasses with wine-scented wax and wine charms around the stems. We don't know what to do with them when the whole thing's over. Might as well let the guests keep them. |
For the whole registry list issue:
I never laughed as hard as when my sister got an invitation, printed out on a home computer, with a card inside that said "We are registered at Wal-Mart and Home Depot." Now, if that's all you can afford, that's great, but I wouldn't advertise those two places in an invitation. I think it's kind of tacky to include the list. I would tell all my bridesmaids, mother, mother in law, grandparents, etc. where I'm registered and let it up to them to spread the word. My sister refused to register- she thinks people will just give her money that way. I say she'll get a lot of junk, like vases and picture frames, that have no real use when you're just starting out. |
