Are her parents divorced? Who raised her? How can parents not know their child is an honor student?

Very confused as to who lives with who and where.

Does anyone know?

On one of the episodes Ally explained that are parents are still married but separated. Her father does have a girlfriend and she was in one of the episodes.

I still don't know who Ally lives with.

I'm pretty sure she lives with her dad, as they've never shown her mom yet!!

Next week's episode looks funny.

Ally chews out Tommy Hilfiger because her therapists told her that she never had a childhood.

Should be interesting.

I actually like the show I mean they seem like nice girls yes theyre rich as anything but still they live basically normal lives with normal problems anyways lol not really normal lives but its neat.

Ok just saw a rerun of this, and
A) WTF w/ this comment? "People just don't understand fashion. I mean, people from New York wear cargoes b/c they think, I can wear them with stilettoes and a cute top like I was going to do tonite....but people in the midwest wear them because they have lots of pockets and they need that for their tools."

WTF??? I'm sorry but I live in the Midwest and I've NEVER been on a farm in my life. And seriously, what farmer do you know that wears satiny cropped cargoes while hay bailing???

Yes she was making a generalization. But, I think her point is that fashionistas where stuff 'cause it's cute or trendy while others where things because of the practicality.

I think the point of the show wasn't to flaunt how much money they have, but to show that money doesn't buy happiness.

I can kinda relate. No I'm not like millionarish rich. But my friends and everyone think that just because my family has money that we shouldn't have a care in the world.

I saw the one episode (the 4th of July one) where they were talking about going to Africa or something to help out. I know girls that have lots of money here and all they care about is their burberry clothing and buying the best things money can offer.

SparkliiQTMTSU 11-29-2003 03:17 AM

yeah I totally see that. They really do care about giving to others. I mean Ally's graduation present was a donation to a charity and of course the party but still I mean she was so grateful that her father had done that for her.

Yeah I really liked seeing that aspect of the girls. In the 4th of July episode, they were like let's watch a movie, I thought it would be some typical teenage movie, but instead it was the movie about Africa.

MeLikey 12-10-2003 12:55 AM

The guys they picked up tonight in LA... ok they were there just because of the cameras! It was funny when Allie's like can we stop talking about clothes? Hahaha... I felt bad for Liz though, thought she was cool in a previous episode!

But still I wonder if they really do understand? I mean it's one thing to watch a movie, but it's another to witness and know what it's like. Granted I've never been over seas to a third world country, but I've donated enough of my time to different projects in really bad neighborhoods (including the slums of New Orleans). I don't think they've ever done homeland community service in their life!

ThetaGrrl 12-10-2003 01:58 PM

Just a few episodes ago, they were talking about how they should not spend so much money on shoes, because they could "save a life" somewhere with that money.

Then Jamie spends $455 on boots.

Hmm...

Can I just ask how you all watch this show? I watched it last week and had to go to bed because I was so disgusted with these girls...I mean, whining because you don't know how to make a friggin burrito? Don't whine and complain about it...I doubt the guys at the grocery store want to help you. GET THEE TO A TACO BELL you spoiled little *****.

LMAO!!!! You just typed what I was thinking!!!! My friend tapes the show for me and I watched several episodes tonight. Puh-leze. Ally needs to be slapped.

mullet81 12-17-2003 01:12 AM

Did anyone watch tonights episode? OMG Jamie and Liz need to grow up and stop one-uping each other for Ally's affection and attention. Seriously, lame.

Jamie was the worst though. She couldn't make the best of the situation, have fun, embrace the moment! Liz and Ally have been friends for 13 years - get over it, let them be friends, stop being jealous!
