have i dated out the race? no.
would i do it? sure
would i do it more than once? that depends on how i handled it the first time.

CAse in point, I knew a black girl that dated nothing but upper class white guys. We were talking about Black history monthm and I was appauled at the lack of knowledge she had about her own people. She told me she was never exposed to those things.

Thas why I came to the conclusion I did. Like I said, my views are steadily changing. And, again, livinginthe south, until lately, the only races I mainly come into contact with are blacks and whites. Dont see many asians. But now a days you do.

Sweetie, where in the south are you? I'm in east TN for crying out loud and I've seen several IR couples.

Perhaps you should be more concerned with those grammatical issues rather than who sistas are dating. Skee Phi ;)

Thank you for observing my grammatical errors. I appreciate that. You have to understand that i type very fast because I have a limited amount of time on the internet. If you knew where I was, you would understand that. But, being the educated folks I know that you are, I am sure you can gather my thoughts and read between the lines. Thank you.

I am really not concerned about IR dating. I was posting my comments like everyone else on here does.

i've dated all across the rainbow, but i've never been SERIOUS with anyone nonblack. I'm used to seeing my friends of all backgrounds date & marry interracially... for example my bestguyfriend is Filipino and he RARELY dates inside his race. Ideally my hubby will be AfAm, but i'm open. ESPECIALLY open to:

Orlando Bloom
Jake Gyllenhoweveryouspellhislastname
the guy from Sex & the City (Samantha's young boo Smith)

Benjamin Bratt is mixed. His mother is Pervian Indian.

Y'all just too silly... ;)

Anyhow,

Tales of my life: My "wonderful" brother and his wife (?) produced my lovely little nephew... This little guy is too funny.

http://images.kodakgallery.com/photo...0305_0_ALB.jpg

Anyhow, not all's well in paradise... And my brother is now divorcing his wife--essentially breaking her heart. Which is stoopid to me, 'cuz this is who my brother cursed everyone out for and what he wanted when he dragged this poor woman into marrying him... I am speaking psychologically.

So basically, I am telling women of other ethnic groups who are dating SOME men of African descent, if he ain't confident in himself and who he is, then, says and does things that just ain't proper in the Black community, you ain't gotta live like that... Get some sistah friends so that you can straighten his azz out when he gets stoopid...

If my SIL set my brother straight from jump, he wouldn't be actin' a fool, now--talkin' 'bout divorce... And I hope she gets more than half!!!

I have relatives who date and have married outside of their race. I'm actually praying that my cousin will marry this girl (white) because she is a really nice person and I have always liked her. Hell the family likes her. She has stucked with him through thick and thin and I really want him and her to settle. But who knows. I have an uncle who has seen the hate whites did to blacks when he was in the army many years ago. He has told me some stories that will make you cry. So he does not understand why they date white women. I simply told him, it was in their environment. You sent your boys to private white schools. So when they became of dating age, who was there, white girls. But I know all situations are not the same. But since they had so much exposure, hey, it could have happened that way. So............here it is. And we as a family accept it. It hurts him a little, but he gets over it. Those are his children and he loves them. Plus, he wants his son to marry the same young lady I'm praying for. Now if I could get my cousin to marry this girl, I will be soooooooooooo happy.

Several years ago I asked my dad about the dating issue and marrying outside my race. I simply told him that there are things that I see in him that I want my potential mate to have, but with the state of SOME black men today, it is a little hard to find someone. What ever my grandmother did raising my father, hey, she did the right thing because he is truly one of a kind. So he said he would not be happy, but will come to accept it.

I have dated outside my race twice. The first was an Irish guy that I just found ok for friendship and the second was a Jewish guy who was really really nice to me.

It is good to be open-minded. :) I have favorable memories of both!!!

As far as those mentioned above: Add to Nicholas Cage -- Tom Cruise and that guy who does a court show during the day. I can't think of his name right now but he caught my interest when I was home last month because of his straightforward nature. I guess I have to look in the tv guide for his name. ;)

Are you talking about the one where he use to be a police offer (Dallas I think) and then later went to law school and so on? Dark hair and dark eyes? I think I know who you speak of, but I can't think of the name of his show for the life of me.
